Yes, the awards should be for those who didn't make the Top 20...they already got their kudos...now one for the little guys!

Yes! (This is true of all categories except "Best Nickname Generated" -- since most nicknames were created on behalf of the nameless semifinalists before they officially introduced themselves.) You know... the "unknown knowns" before they became "known knowns"!

After looking at tons of submissions tonight for the awards on Saturday, I have come to the conclusion that those who have been selected as the top 20 should feel very honored. There really were some great applications. To make it in the top 1.5% is amazing! For those ten who will not go further in the process, make sure you remember that you are among the cream of the crop.

OK, after a lot of thought, tears, and calculations…OK, a little thought, no tears, and some basic math, I have determined (with consultation from my beloved wife, Amanda) to award avatars to the following individuals. This is the list I compiled:
The first five that mentioned my avatar deal AFTER Kenny’s announcement (“I've heard something about the contest, but not at liberty to share at the moment!”)

Then there was one who thought she was #4 on the list, but was really #6 who will STILL get an avatar:

And the last avatar will go to the person who has been a HUGE help throughout the CMO contest (although that scalawag also inadvertently sparked this whole “Does this count for the avatar contest?” situation):

OK, so here’s the deal. You seven winners need to email or PM me with an idea/suggestion of what you want on your avatar. If you want a cartoon-like likeness of yourself you will need to send me a photo, blogsite, video (such as your CMO entry, if you did one) that shows you well enough for me to toon-ize you. Whatever your idea is, keep in mind that this is for a tiny little avatar, so keep it pretty simple. And I reserve the right to modify the idea to fit my time/talent capabilities, but I’ll try my best to achieve your vision. If you have no ideas, at least let me know a favorite Disney movie, attraction, etc. and I’ll try to come up with something on my own.

My goal is to do one avatar a day, so you should have them all within a week or so. The upcoming “Top 10” announcement may delay that slightly (if I’m one of the lucky ones!), but I’ll do my best to get them all done within the next week!

SWEET! That is so very cool and so very generous!

Side Note: My husband thinks I'm nuts, because I just did a little "victory dance" through the house. I couldn't help myself! (The truly scary part: He may be growing accustomed to these little displays. I hope he at least finds them amusing... )
