After reading the latest pages a few words come to mind:
quirky, irreverent, hilarious, "stream of consciousness", random, fun Luckily, as Julie Andrews would say, "these are a few of my favorite things"!

And Hey, Wendy...(CalDisFamily), you might be able to go get a mickey bar anytime you want, but we have....umm, well, we have.....here in Iowa we have....(thinking thinking thinking)...oh, I know! I can go to the Maid-Rite and get a loose meat sandwich anytime I want, and um, I can enjoy a thrill ride by spinning my van into a ditch on our very icey roads (did this just a couple days ago) ...Oh, and we can enjoy great shows like our community theaters production of Pippin, and umm...yeah...we got lots of cool stuff, who needs Disneyland nearby
I'm not bitter.

yeah, well I figured nobody would know what a "maid-rite" is, and Rosanne Barr kind of made that lovely term (loose meat sandwiches) somewhat recognizable. Go ahead, make fun of the midwest girl. I can take it!

If you missed the fun tonight, I just wanted to post to explain all of the edits.

I made a joke about RhodaDakota coming to the boards to announce that she made the Top 20. I took the joke a step further by signing up for the boards under the name RhodaDakota.

Good joke...(I think) and everybody had a good laugh (I hope). I just carried the joke on too long to the point where if somebody just jumped to the end of the thread, they wouldn't get that RhodaDakota was Fleagle and vice versa.

Rhoda and Fleagle ended up getting into an argument (yep... I argued with myself) If you jumped into it in the middle and saw Rhoda being VERY negative about Fleagle and Fleagle giving it right back, you would think that the warm caring tone of this thread had been corrupted.

So inasmuch as anybody got the wrong vibe, I apologize. I understand how important it is to maintain the one person, one screename rule. More than that, the tone of this thread has been a tremendous gift to so many of us... so I hope my fight with myself didn't diminish that.

If you've read my blog, you know that I believe that to get the biggest laugh, you have to risk getting egg on your face. I bombed a little bit, but I hope you got some laughs too.

I'll let Shakespeare sum up my goodnight (with one small paraphrase)...
