I've been trying to hold myself back from making any plans for what to do if I am lucky enough to advance. I didn't want to jinx it... and I think I was holding back to soften the blow. But, today, I just kind of decided to risk feeling foolish if I put together a big plan and then don't get the chance to go for it.

I don't mean that I'm ready to start campaigning yet, but I definitely have my plans forming. If it turns out that it was all for nothing, then so be it. It's good practice I guess. But... I feel like what I've put together could really be something!!! I sincerely hope I get the chance to give it a shot. (For what it is worth, I think Disney and Careerbuilder would be very pleased too...) And no, I'm not telling yet!

So, do you think some of the contestants might be in touch with Centra and DD regarding this part of the process?

One of the girls (and I do mean girls as no girls over a certain age seemed to be selected) said that they were in contact with them??

What do you think? Just curious....it would seem unfair for some to be in touch and not others (again with the LOST reference for me).

Yes, Meggin said on another board that she had spoken to the sponsors (Where's the trip?). She said that they told her that speaking to the media was somehow against the rules. She would have an email address to contact them. I still have some from last year, but they are private. I meant that I'm not buying their response to her. I don't doubt that she was in contact. Some middle man tried to tell her she couldn't answer simple questions. Other finalists have confirmed with me that they have not been told this at all though.

Thanks Kenny, I definitely believed that she was in contact.....I just wondered if ALL were in contact. Seemed a bit odd that just one would be, you know? Maybe just one winner relayed this info though and the others have access as well.


Gotta say though, if (and I sortof want to say "when") they ever contacted me in ANY way, I would follow whatever they said to the letter. Just in case........

And, about that legend you referred to....it was a wonderful thought implanted in our brains by the stork so we wouldn't cause it to go extinct.

Also, I am glad you are plotting, I think if some of us non-winners (aka losers) were honest, we might have been making plans before we even knew if we were in the top 20!

What kind of job are you looking for? Any particular interests or passions in your life?

I kind of stumbled into my current job. It wasn't the result of some great master plan on my part - that's for sure. I just was in the right place at the right time and was willing to listen to that little voice in my head (no, not that one, the other one!) telling me to give it a shot.
