When we came home, we called her "Stupid Judy" several times (all in good fun, of course)

:scared1: 'Glad you're still around to talk about it! ;)

Hey, Marshay: I'm still thinking about my answers to the "favorites" from Brady's interview. (As you may have noticed, I have a hard time picking just one. ;) )

Here's the questionairre that Brady used in his "interview." I don't see anything scandalous in there. Most of us have posted this kind of info on web boards. I'll fill in my info!
Full name: Kenny White
City of residence: Lone Grove, OK
Current occupation: Minister, house painter, dream job researcher
Age: 40
Favorite Disney movie: The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (my first Disney memory)
Favorite Disney character: Donald and Goofy
Favorite Disney ride: Tower of Terror, Pirates, Haunted Mansion
Favorite Disney park: Disney Hollywood Studios
First reaction to news that he is a finalist: I'd be totally shocked because I wasn't allowed to enter!
Yay fun!! I'll bite...

Full name: Stephen Perry
City of residence: Taunton, MA
Current occupation: Does Nursing student count?
Favorite Disney movie: Beauty & the Beast
Favorite Disney character: Eeyore
Favorite Disney ride: Haunted Mansion.... "duh"
Favorite Disney park: Magic Kingdom (during the day)/Epcot (at night)
First reaction to news that he is a finalist: I dropped the phone screaming, picked it back up and screamed some more, finally calmed down to listen to all of the info.... I also think I peed myself a little. Oh wait.... that didn't happen.

So is anyone going to be at WDW April 16-22 to see the Top 3 Finalists compete?

You know what's really weird, I've already planned a trip to Disney World April 20-26 so that I could be in Animal Kingdom for the 10th anniversary on the 22nd!!! It's been booked for months! But GET THIS... That's the same day the CMO is announced!! How exciting, huh? You know what else would've been cool... going to Tokyo Disneyland the week before for their 25th anniversary on April 15th... my boyfriend is going (without me waaaa!), but it's cool cuz then he's gonna meet me in Florida the following week!

Is anyone else here doing either of the two?

Oh and P.S. I would also love to plan my first Disney cruise this year and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of when to plan (I heard if you book last minute you can get a pretty sweet deal) or when's the best time to go.

Wow, what a long post.

Thanks Ann - it has been a rough week for us and I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. There are two little kids - aged 4 and 6 that really need your prayers.

Carolwoodpr and Kenny: So many thoughts and prayers are with you and the families you are supporting through these difficult times. Prayer chains from Colorado all the way to Peru are asking for the peace that passeth all understanding for these families and yourselves. I'm so sorry.

As far as Top 20'ers not posting due to concerns around official contest rules - the first I've heard about this was tonight while catching up on this thread. I, personally, was away simply because President's Day and no school meant a full day at our Downtown Denver Aquarium :fish: (where I saw several hidden Mickey's in the cafe carpet design...please be honest; am I going crazy?).

Nope! 'Cuz that would mean that I'm going crazy, too! (Yesterday, when I took my last bite of Cheerios, I noticed a "Hidden Mickey" on my spoon. Only three "O"s were left, and they aligned themselves in the perfect Mickey formation... :) ) I ate them anyway. :rolleyes1

Hi Floodmeister! You know, I'm not aware of the last-minute cruise deals, but we did go on a Disney cruise a little over a year ago and we're booked on another one later this year. As with everything they do...Disney sure knows how to do cruising!!!! It was amazing!!! I read an article recently that mentioned it was actually comparable (or sometimes less expensive) to "live" on cruise ships vs. in an assisted-living facility. So, that's my long-term plan. :woohoo: Hee hee.

I wonder if the first week in January would = good DCL deals? That seems to be the time everyone is getting back into the swing of things (work, school, etc.) after too much time off and too many festivities. We've found some pretty good travel deals around that time. Now I wish I would've talked myself through this before booking OUR Disney cruise...I probably would've saved myself some $! pirate:

Oh my gosh! That is hilarious! :rotfl2:

Okay, now I can admit that I was changing my son's pillowcase yesterday and there is a stain on it that looks like a hidden Mickey. I've never seen hidden Mickey's in my everyday life until this contest. Is anyone else out there suffering from HMH (Hidden Mickey Hallucinations)? DO TELL!

I have to chime in on this one....

Sunday morning DH, DS, myself and the DG (Disney Goldendoodle) went on a walk down a horse trail behind our community...I could not believe that on the side of the road, we noticed a cactus growing by itself that was in the shape of Mickey. I didn't have a camera on me, so on our walk next weekend, I am planning on taking a picture. Maybe I will use it as my Avatar!

Let me start by saying...AHHHHHHH! You found my Nerdz videos! :-D Good job super sleuth! The second thing I'd like to cover is my joining this board after getting tapped for the top 20. Believe me, I didn't sign up for votes. Somehow I have gone this long and just never knew about the board or I would have been here a loooooong time ago. Seems like a REALLY happy community. I was pointed toward this board and invited to join by one of your members. And to be honest it was your enthusiasm for my video that brought me out of hiding. It's possible that I've even met some of you. I was at Mousefest the last 2 years and we had a table for our show right next to Ricky's at the Mega Mouse Meet. You may have even brought home one of my Window to the magic "Patrick" buttons! I'm going to be sticking around long after this CMO thing is done. Here's hoping the top 10 calls start coming in in the next day...fingers crossed!

Hey, FM, you could be our unofficial DIS CMO Thread Official correspondent!! Are you going to try to be around for the CMO activities?

Aw, Patrick -- welcome aboard! The Nerdz video was extremely cute. We hope to see both you and your wife on here more. I'm sure you'll have plenty of fodder for us all (and not just pertaining to CMO stuff).

I know you all are getting really nervously excited about the Top 10 calls -- just remember, what will be, will be.:goodvibes

Carolwoodpr,

Healing thoughts and prayers with you, your loved ones, and especially the dear little ones. Life is one very tough course but the power of positive, loving energy really does help heal.

To all of you waiting for that Top 10 call.....WOW!!! I honestly don't know how you pass the time! Thinking of you all and can't wait to hear the good news!

How long have you had it? It had me out of commission for two weeks. I totally lost my voice for a day and had to call-in sick... I almost never call in sick. I broke down and went to the doctor for antibiotics and some really good cough syrup (I'm sure it was more than 20 proof...*hic-up*)

I feel much better now. Get well soon.

Thanks for all the get-well wishes everyone. I truly do appreciate it.

I swear it's felt like a month of us being sick -- myself, my 2.5 yo DD and my 43 yo DH! :rotfl: Actually it's only been 8 days...so we still have some more time to ride this out if it'll last 2 weeks. ARGH!

But I swear if I hear my DD say "my nose is running!" in her whiny voice one more time, I may scream! JUST KIDDING! For some reason, although she is fully capable of blowing her own nose (since I've seen her do it), whenever I am nearby she becomes completely helpless, throwing herself on the floor or doing the consistent whining.

Yes, I know -- welcome to life with a 2 year old!;)

Those of you with mulitple children and older ones who've been through it -- more power to ya!

so did you ever tell us what magic125 is? Or give us a hint? I don't remember reading it but perhaps it got lost in all of the chatter...

Believe me the only thing thats been keeping my mind off of this whole thing is the fact that I had to produce a show for the podcast this weekend. Of course now that the show has aired...I'm getting antsy. How many posts before I can post pics? There are quite a few threads I've seen that I'd like to participate in but I need to be able to post pictures.

OK....a few random thought, beginning with my bio:

Full name: Anne Bacon
City of residence: Marshalltown, IA
Current occupation: Training Consultant and Travel Planner (really, its true)
Favorite Disney movie: Lion King
Favorite Disney character: Believe it or not, it is not Tink...it is The Evil Queen
Favorite Disney ride: Haunted Mansion- Nightmare Before Christmas style
Favorite Disney park: Animal Kingdom during the day, Epcot at night
First reaction to news that she is a finalist: Funny (sad) story) Last week, way too late for such silliness, the FedEx truck pulled up in my drive, I was NOT expecting anything, so of course my pea brain started freaking out....it was a ridiculous package from a travel company selling something. I am such an idiot.

As far as the joining business, I agree that it would be a "strategic" thing to do. I mean, if you were top 10 wouldn't you look everywhere for votes??? Also, I personally will be compelled to vote for someone I feel I "know", I do think there is something special about the folks that checked in here...it shows how excited/commited and approachable they are.

Also, about cruising, it is a rare day that DCL has discounts close to sailing....in fact, it is often completely booked. The cheapest times also have the worst weather, Next time I cruise I am thinking September (I WILL by travel insurance due to hurricane season)

Anne

125 is magical for on December 5th (12-5-1901) Walter Elias Disney was born!!! The number 125 has way too many ties in my life: my god-daughter's b-day is 12-5, my house # is 125, grandma's house # was 125, life's mentor's house # 125, my paycheck is issued at #125, travel agency I worked at was #125, and the day I bought a Flip Camera to record an entry for Disney CMO was January 25th(1-25)! So, that's why! Forever the optimist, I thought for sure that was a sign!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
