You are funny! You also seem to have a great sense of "perspective", level headededness and quick thinking...and a pretty good sense of humor - all of which appear to have served you well during this.

I'm sorry to hear that this happened on your cruise, but I admire the way you handled it and view it. Here's hoping your next cruise will be disgustingly uneventful!

I love these boards, as does most everyone who is here, I'd assume. However, I do sometimes question why threads that are not rude, argumentative or Disney-hostile sometimes get locked. What you are reporting is a true experience, Disney handled it well in your opinion. We should be able to hear about the "real life" stuff that happens when life gets in the way of a vacation and not have to worry about a thread being closed. Thanks for sharing a less- than- perfect vacation moment!

Ok, I live in Ca and have a newer home and it is required that I have an internal sprinkler system, thankful I have never needed it. But I have experience a change in the waters pressure in the system the alarms sounded as it either thought that there was a breach in the system or there was a fire and the sprinklers are doing what they should do, my security company called to check to see if I need the fire department dispatch with in 2mins of the alarm sounding. My questions is IF this was the fire sprinkler system line that broke, why wouldn't it have alramed the bridge or fire safety that there was a problem or something? Maybe only the smoke detectors are connected to the alarm system. I would think they would have come running even faster.

The other mishap occured the day at sea when a water pipe burst on deck 7 aft and flooded parts of deck 7 and 6. Animator's Palate even had buckets near its' entrance.

Wow, quite the experience! I just read this from someone's trip report, so that pipe bursting in your room made quite the impact!!!
