it is sooooo far away (still hoping tho) but they say "good things come to those who wait"....so does this mean I get to take Donnie home :lmao: :lmao:

A few of you have mentioned a stage B. Where do they put that? Is it main floor? Back, middle? Where?

Here's another question for those who have already gone to their concert. How early did you arrive? What was the parking situation? Our show starts at 8 and we live about 45 minutes away from the venue. I want to leave at 5:30 because I have dealt with horrible traffic issues during really big events there in the past. My friend thinks more like 6:30. :scared1: I say no way! We need to be there early. Which one of us is right?

I'd go earlier, it's better to be early than late! :thumbsup2

Our situation was different, we had general admission standing room only tickets. We got there at 3pm for the 8pm concert! :)

We arrived at 5:45 for an 8p show. Parking was no problem at all, but the restaurants around the area were CRAZY (I'm sure the fact Jay-Z was playing two blocks down at House of Blues had something to do with that).
I guess it also depends on where the venue is. We were in downtown Houston and were coming in as most of the traffic was going out with rush hour (the bars were a bit packed since work just got out also).

To Family Fun Mom, at our show, the second stage was at the back of the floor and the guys had to be escorted down the aisle of the floor. But I believe I have heard of the stage being in different areas, depending on the size of the venue.

We arrived about an hour before the show. Had enough time to grab a bite to eat and get a couple of drinks before we headed in. Tami Chynn was at our show and they started her a little before 8, then Natasha and then our boys. we went in after Tami had started. If she is there, try to see her. She is adorable and has a pretty good voice.

Stage B is on the floor towards the back. I am assuming that in Detroit it is a large facility, so it will be set up. You will notice it when you come in, if you don't know it is there, it just kind of looks like sound equipment because it is covered up. We were seated on the floor in aisle seats, so it was easy for us to make our way back there. If we had not been on the floor, security would not have allowed us down there. Security was VERY tight!

I agree with Shelby, earlier is definitely better!

We got there just as Tami Chynn was finishing - a little before 8? I wouldn't have wanted to be there any earlier. I wouldn't have minded missing Natasha, too. Not my cup of tea. ;)

So, Tami Chynn was the person on stage when we first walked in ...

We showed up a bit later and heard a set ending. We were all giddy, thinking we actually missed Natasha and were just in time for NKOTB. We got our drinks, settled in and NOOOO!!!!
I'm sorry, but that chick's music gets on my nerves! I think her songs all sound alike and they get stuck in my head ... not a good combination. Needless to say, we had to sit through the whole set. But the silver lining was I got to experiment with my camera to see which mode would work best for the evening.

Well we got to our show EARLY EARLY but that was part of the plan. We spent the day in New Kids stalking mode!! Traffic did not seem to be a huge problem though. It seemed like valet parking was the least crowded. After the concert we waited around for the busses to leave and so it was not bad then either.

Yes, the "B" stage is probably about 30 - 40 rows back on the floor level center stage. Usually they use the aisle stage right for their entrance and exit. If you are stage right and can be near the aisle you have a VERY good chance of touching each of them. They are surrounded by body guards and run pretty fast back to the main stage, but if you are on that aisle it's pretty easy.

I'm excited about the Stage B because I am on the main floor at the back. I'm 4'10 and I know I won't be able to see squat. I might get a glimpse if there is a Stage B.

This is Tami Chynn.

She is a colorful little thing from Jamaica. She has a pretty good voice and a CD that comes out next year. She isn't doing all of the shows. She came on a little before the scheduled start and played for about 30 mins, before Natasha. The next one I go to Lady Gaga will be there so I am hoping that means they will do Big Girl Now!
