I'm going to be keeping an eye on that booking site to see the progress of the sales. I really can't see a lot of people paying that much money for a three-day cruise, especially with how many people are being affected by the economy. It will be interesting to track, especially with the mention that prices could change!

Definitely going to pass on the cruise. I agree with what you have all said, for the same amount, we could do five star at several shows,or go to a "destination" show. Even on the NKOTB message boards, a lot of them are saying they aren't going. I wonder if the price will drop. Can't wait for tour dates! :)

Gotta do the quiz!

In addition to coaching, I am also a competitive figure skater at the adult level, and have competed twice at adult nationals. Really though...that sounds more impressive than it actually is. LOL!

No way I'll be going! That price is crazy! My DH and I could take a Disney cruise for the price we would pay for a top/bottom bunk "closet" on that Carnival ship! I wonder if they will even be able to sell all the cabins? I was over on the nkotb forum and there are a ton of fans posting that they won't be going. It's hard to find ones who ARE planning to go. I'm just going to hope for a concert in Indiana over the summer so I can do the 5* VIP.

I will try to do the Q&A's a little later :)

Here, here! PLEASE come to Indiana this time. Or least close!

If I could've gone for around a grand including air I probably would be booking it about now. It is hard to find ppl that are going.

There is no one here going as of yet, right? I'm going to be watching that booking site like a hawk!

Dana - your dh - :rotfl: He must be on some good meds.

Alright ladies,

Since yesterday I have not been able to get on the site at all and I just was curious as to how cheap it would be.

If anyone has any information about the cruise or which company to contact that would be helpful.

Also are they coming back to the US this summer? Say like New Jersey IZOD or Atlantic City again? I am getting an error every single time I go to their site.:sad1:

Fun idea to do the quiz! I will post my answers later... after I shovel snow again!

I have been thinking about the "cabin prices can change at any time" thing. After you have booked, they cannot change the price on you, but, a changing price does not necessarily mean it has to go up. They can always reduce the rates if it looks like it is not going to sell out!

Mickeyistheman: it's through rose tours. The site is rosetours.com/nkotb The cheapest, which is an inside cabin with top/bottom bunks only, is $799/pp PLUS an additional $200 - some in fees PER PERSON...so you're looking at over $1000 for one person.

It looks like it's selling well. When I go into to book (only looking) there is only oceanview cabins left. No insides, no suites.

I just checked the cruise reservations site and it looks like the only rooms left are the more expensive oceanview cabins. I can't believe that many people are still willing to pay $1000 + that they sold out of ALL the cheapest (I don't even like using "cheap" in that description!) cabins already.

cruiser - that doesn't make you lame!

Tell us something you would like us to know that we don't already...... I met my husband when he was on a blind date with my best friend!

Do I have the smallest feet in the group???

Here's something funny about how I met my hubby. (inspired by Heather's info) When I was 19 I was dating someone who was not good for me at all, just not the best guy. He was 11 years older than me. Anyway, at the time I was running my father's insurance office. (fun stuff....NOT) One day this guy came in with his Dad and I thought he was SO cute. But I didn't help him, my mom did. As soon as he walked out the door I snatched up his insurance application and got all the necessary info. (where he worked, driving record, etc) Seemed like a good guy, clean record and all. Then I put him out of my mind because I was dating this other guy.

A couple months later I saw him going into a local store (7-11) while I was on my way to work. I started to see him EVERY day going in there. One day I decided that I had to stop and make sure he wasn't getting cigarettes. (no offense to any of you that smoke but I don't and that would be a deal breaker with me) So, I walked in to buy something I didn't really need just to see what he was getting. It was coffee. Big relief! Then I walked out and left.

It was becoming more and more clear that the other relationship I was in was NOT going to work out. So, I decided to end that and see what I could do about this cute guy. I asked my mom what I should do while we were at work one day. She suggested I leave a note on his car. (easy to do since I knew where he worked and what type of car he had) :lmao: (No I'm not a stalker) :rolleyes1

So, that day I wrote a little note that just said who I was, how we had met briefly and if he was interested in going out to give me a call. My mom and I left work early so we could get it on his car before he'd leave for the day. So, I left it under his windshield wiper and we were on our way home.

That night he called after dinner time. We talked until the middle of the night. Went out the next night and that was it. We've been married for 13 years and have been together since that day, 16 years.

Just a funny little bizarre story. ;)

Back to NKOTB - Oh I do hope they come out with the dates on Friday!! That would be GREAT!! I can see that they'd want to announce the cruise first, get people onboard with that idea, then appease those that can't do it with some concert dates!!! :thumbsup2 There is a method to their madness.

Oh, I'll be stalking their website on Friday! I hope that's it too!

Shelby - great story! :)

LOVE that story, Shelby!!!

Just so everyone knows... my BFF and my hubby went on just that one date and kucky for me had zero chemistry. She is still one of my best friends and was in our wedding!

I agree that there is a method to the plan, sell out a cruise ship and then release concert dates so that he nutty ones that will drop that kind of cash on a three day cruise don't re-think once they see the concert dates!!!

Okay, so I know someone that's going on the cruise. :scared1: She told me last night that she wasn't going to go and they were going to be smart with their money. Now today they're going.

Check out the site, almost everything is sold out! It's confirmed people are INSANE!!!!

My friend that cruises a lot said they went on a 4 day cruise and for a nice room it was like $300 pp. She said to pay THAT much for even the cheapest room is just NUTS!!

Oh yeah it is beyond being overpriced. Dh and I have went on a 7 day cruise for $365 pp! Of course it was May 2002 and 9/11 had almost destroyed the travel sector, but still! Last August my mom and I went on a 3 night weekend cruise and paid a grand for both of us total including airfare.

If we're discussing meeting dh's.....I've known my dh since elementary school. We started dating when I was in 9th grade! We've broke up some in there, like when I went away to college and stuff. But we always found our way back. High school sweethearts.....awww....
