Disembark question

We haven't had to tip a porter up front. They help you find the bags, so you maybe could have stopped and found the cash in your checked bag after s/he helped you find it

Also maybe don't pack cash in a bag that's going out of your eyesight. Yikes.

Anyway, we tip once we are done with the porter's services, with lots of time to scrounge for money.

That said, put money aside! DS and I had to wait at the port in the bonechilling cold in January while dh returned the car because we only had the cash to properly tip the shuttle driver for one person. Brr. And I had my puffy coat and pants on even. Plenty of people were in Bahamas clothes and were quickly turning blue.

It was our first time & I wish we would have known better or done it differently :) I'm not sure how we ended up with our cash packed to begin with & but I think I recall it being my fault for switching between a small cross body purse for excursions & a larger purse I could keep some items in for the kids. I smiled at your vision of blue Bahamas clothed people.....I laugh now, but it could be me some day. I tend to over organize/plan where our kids are concerned & forget something important for myself every time lol.

We always put our bags out and have never had a problem!.......makes life and disembarkation much easier.
