Donald
Congrats to Le Celliar Dwellars for clinching a "spot"...which could be...#1 seed at best...OR a #7 seed wildcard spot worstcase. You have only a 1 game lead over 2nd and 3rd in Donald...so the Worstcase you could do is finish 10-3 and have a point differential to finish 3rd. but a 10-3 3rd place is better than any other 3rd place in Mickey or Goofy...so you will at least have a #7 wildcard spot if not #1 or #2 finish in Donald.

Hope I can hold on! Not sure what will happen to Arian Foster now that the Texans have no QB whatsoever. Then again, that didn't hurt the Redskins last week.

Leaving 6 to play in a 6 team Nescafe Coffee Cup playoff:

:lmao::rotfl2:

With only 1 week left in our Regular season...it's time for another report...
If the regular season ended today the Playoffs would look like this:
(1) Le Cellier Dwellers vs. (8) Jasmine's Necklace**
(2) Raiders of the Caribbean vs. (7) Duckburg Ducks**
(3) Castaway Cay Islanders vs. (6) Hoop-Dee-Doo Ball Crew*
(4) Figment Cowboys* vs. (5) Enchanted Tiki Romo*

*2nd place in Division
**Wild Cards

Just missing the cut are: Splash Mountaineers, Eeyore's Tail, Motley Muppets, Tusker House Blues

Congrats to Figment Cowboys for clinching a "spot"...very similar to the Dwellars. You could finish 10-3 and be good enough for the #1 seed or finish 9-4 and have at worst a #7 seed Wildcard spot. as 9-4 would be better than any "potential" 8-5 "3rd-5th" place team in other Divisions.

Congrats to Duckburg Ducks for clinching a "spot"...almost the same as Dwellars. I could finish 10-3 and be good enough for the #1 seed...ONLY if both the Dwellars and Figment Cowboys lose AND I win...AND I gain enough points to top the Dwellars in tie breaker. Worstcase I lose and finish 9-4 and get a #7 seed Wildcard spot....as 9-4 would be better than any "potential" 8-5 "3rd-5th" place team in other Divisions...oh and I have a pretty good Total Point Lead over Jasmine's Necklace.

Well lets see 5 teams Clinched...that a #1 and #2 from Donald and Goofy =4 plus 1 Wildcard...then we will have a #1 and a #2 out of Mickey...leaving the #8 seed Wildcard open to any of top 5 teams in Mickey...Tusker House Blues in Goofy...and Jasmine's Necklace in Donald. That 7 teams...3 spots.

Good Luck to everyone!!! :thumbsup2

Just a reminder...posted on the League site as well.

Thursday is the Trade Deadline for 2011...get them in before kickoff Thursday.

email/text to let me know...my cell # is in my contact info (Duckburg Ducks) on the league site.

I have a new poll up on the league site...check it out.

Nate,

I am not against the idea of keepers, but I don't think we can do it at this point in the year. I know, myself included, owners dropped players that they would not have dropped if they knew it was a keeper league - for example, Peyton Manning, Jamaal Charles, Kenny Britt, Jahvid Best, Fred Jackson, etc., were dropped because they are/were hurt. I know I dropped Manning and Britt (and I'm still not in last place - go figure?) and I would definitely have kept at least Manning if this were a keeper league.

If we want to do a keeper league, I think we have to let everyone know at the beginning of the season.

Chris

I totally agree Chris... that is why I voted no in the poll. Although if I had Rogers, Charles, and Gronkowski (or however you spell it) I probably would have voted yes! :lmao::lmao:

:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Tim, I have 2 players (Arian Foster and Larry Fitzgerald) who are "keepers" at this point. The rest of my team is held together with Krazy Glue and spit.

I voted no as well. At this point, I think it is too late to change. Maybe we could do it for the start of next year. It looks like Bradshaw is out for the season, but I am going to keep him anyway as I only have 2 other starting RBs and hope he may come back.

OK...just a thought I've been knocking around in my noggin...BUT I do realize it's late...

That's why it was just 3 keepers...any position...and ONLY 1 per position...and without making the Polls question text dreadfully long their is not much detail.

Here is a little detail of what I had in mind...

For example...I have @ RB... McCoy and Murray and Blount...ALL are valid Keepers...however I could only keep 1...so "IF" we went keeper I was going to make draft order reverse finish order. Worst to Best...and allow players to be traded for draft picks (with a little side note that all trades including Draft picks would have to be balanced...so everyone would have the same # of picks). So Team X could get a good RB...and I get to move up in Round X

This way decissions to Drop player X could be balanced out thru trading and draft strategy. Cause in football one never knows...this years Aaron Rogers could be next years Peyton Manning.

"IF" we do not do the keeper thing...then of course the draft order will be random.

I agree that it probably would be better to establish a keeper league at the start of the year.

Nate, I just wanted to say you've been a fantastic commissioner this year. The league has really been a lot of fun, and you've done a great job. ClearScreen did a great job last year, too. I'm glad you guys have been running the show. :thumbsup2

I'll second that - thanks guys!

ok. That makes a little more sense. I think I could live with that. I would change my vote to yes. Or, since it is later in the year, then just go with keeping 2 players. Were there a lot of trades this year? If so, I must not have noticed.

Not allot of trades... Less than or equal to 10 trades...

I could live with dropping it to 2 keepers.

Won't hurt my feelings if the keeper thing passes or fails this year...but it is something I want to consider for the future....keeps people "involved" throughout the year.

Thanks Mark and Barry.

And many thanks to you Chris for backing me up...I greatly value your insights and 2nd opinions. :thumbsup2

Not a good sign when your best RB has 1 yd rushing and goes out for a the game with a knee injury.

So glad I can play Brian on a record setting day for Gronkowski. Good thing you only Newton and Jones-Drew to fall back on. Doh! :thumbsup2 Not a thumb.

Yikes.
LaGarrette Blount didn't show up today, and those garbage TDs for Carson Palmer mean I really need Stafford to have another big game to stay in this playoff race.

And, let's keep pouring it on. Newton gets to have a career day as well. I picked McGahee right over Holmes, but looks like Newton now hates Steve Smith. GB Defense thinks it is bullfighting. Looks like I need Rogers to throw for 500 yards this game.
