Can we get a fantasy option to earn points off penalties. It looks like Detroit has decided to commit more penalties and more have more penalty yards than # of receptions to Calvin Johnson or yards.

Yeah, Hanson missed a FG. I forgot my waiver came thru Thursday AM and to switch back to my other kicker.

So, Johnson and Hanson don't show up to play on this Thanksgiving game. Even in garbage time, they still won't throw to Johnson. But, I can be thankful that Barry didn't start James Jones and his 65 yard TD reception.

Nate,

You are doing a fantastic job - no question about it!!

I have a suggestion to consider for next year - I could go either way on it. Instead of playing against one opponent each week, how about 2 or 3 opponents? This would equalize the wins a bit more so that the best teams will more likely finish with the best records. For example, my team is 5-6 but I have the 2nd highest scoring team in the division and 4th/5th out of the 30 teams. I probably won't make the playoffs. It seems that a lot of times I have played against teams who have had their highest scoring week against me. If I played 3 games that week, the odds are better that I would have gone 2-1 rather than 0-1. In the format I am suggesting, the consistently good teams are rewarded more.

Just my two cents - like I said, I could go either way on it. It's all for fun.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Chris

I don't know. You did get some bad breaks this year. I've had my place a top the point lead, but I've also lost 3 games. One was from my own stupidity (the Reggie Bush waiver for McGahee), and one of the others was from Harbeson by.6. He would have beat me more with his bench players while I had nothing.

On the other hand, if you're the underdog and 1 game out of the playoffs, knowing that Rex Grossman can come out with a 4 TD game to get you the win to get you in, then you may not want that consistency thing.

Considered playing one oponent from each Division each week....that way everyone gets to play everyone...eventually.

Fantasy ownage.

Considered playing one oponent from each Division each week....that way everyone gets to play everyone...eventually.

That would eliminate the nemesis matchup, but would be able to play more dads. The divisions would only be used for draft purposes and waiver players? Or, would playoffs be determined by division finish?

I guess the game plan this week is not to throw TD passes to Holmes or Smith.

Well, it looks like I need 73 points tonight to win. I highly doubt that is going to happen, but maybe I can eek it out if it turns out to be a VERY high scoring shootout. :) I have 3 players playing tonight: D. Brees, J. Graham, and V. Cruz. Knowing my luck, they will play good enough for me to lose by less than a point. :rotfl2:

BTW...I plan on having a Consolation Bowl Bracket as well...the winner get the coveted Main Street USA Popcorn Bucket. popcorn::

:lmao:

With Brees and Graham, you have a good chance. I needed it 2 weeks ago and GB benched Rogers so I had the loss.

I am excited about this... now that my team has finally turned it on. :headache:

So about that... Seriously 102 pts from three guy in one game. Looks like next week has some serious playoff implication in the Goofy division now.

Good Luck Tex!

Not the Beverly Cup? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Now why didn't I think of that??? :confused3

Captain O is Correct...We should have the Beverly Cup...those little bitty sample cups full of glorious Beverly.

Of Course this should be reserved for those who are good at being bad...just like Beverly. (Hey look Carl might make the cut. :lmao:)

8 "Best" teams for the Dole Whip Cup.

8 "Next Best" for the MStUSA Popcorn Bucket.

8 "Worst" teams duke it out for the Beverly cup...and no...the one who loses the most games doesn't win.

WOW, those 3 were awesome last night! I must have done something good this past week to have that kind of karma. :rotfl2:

Yes, this makes for some exciting implications this week. Good luck, all.

If the regular season ended today the Playoffs would look like this:
(1) Le Cellier Dwellers vs. (8) Jasmine's Necklace**
(2) Raiders of the Caribbean vs. (7) Duckburg Ducks**
(3) Castaway Cay Islanders vs. (6) Hoop-Dee-Doo Ball Crew*
(4) Figment Cowboys* vs. (5) Enchanted Tiki Romo*

*2nd place in Division
**Wild Cards

Just missing the cut are: Splash Mountaineers, Eeyore's Tail, Motley Muppets, Tusker House Blues

Seem there are 5 teams that have clinched a playoff spot...

Goofy
Congrats to Raiders of the Caribbean and Enchanted Tiki Romo for clinching the Goofy Division playoff spots. As you are both 2 games ahead of the next best team in Goofy...and only 1 game left...so you neither fo you can finish worse than 1 or 2 within the Goofy Division.

Donald
Congrats to Le Celliar Dwellars for clinching a "spot"...which could be...#1 seed at best...OR a #7 seed wildcard spot worstcase. You have only a 1 game lead over 2nd and 3rd in Donald...so the Worstcase you could do is finish 10-3 and have a point differential to finish 3rd. but a 10-3 3rd place is better than any other 3rd place in Mickey or Goofy...so you will at least have a #7 wildcard spot if not #1 or #2 finish in Donald.

Congrats to Figment Cowboys for clinching a "spot"...very similar to the Dwellars. You could finish 10-3 and be good enough for the #1 seed or finish 9-4 and have at worst a #7 seed Wildcard spot. as 9-4 would be better than any "potential" 8-5 "3rd-5th" place team in other Divisions.

Congrats to Duckburg Ducks for clinching a "spot"...almost the same as Dwellars. I could finish 10-3 and be good enough for the #1 seed...ONLY if both the Dwellars and Figment Cowboys lose AND I win...AND I gain enough points to top the Dwellars in tie breaker. Worstcase I lose and finish 9-4 and get a #7 seed Wildcard spot....as 9-4 would be better than any "potential" 8-5 "3rd-5th" place team in other Divisions...oh and I have a pretty good Total Point Lead over Jasmine's Necklace.

Mickey
What I see in the Mickey Division is nothing short of Fantasy Football GOLD.
5 Teams fighting for the #1 and #2 spots and a potential Wildcard. Looking at the Schedule only 2 of these 5 teams will play each other.
The Castaway Cay Islanders are in the lead with a 8-4 record...however their total points is less than allot of those 7-5 teams nipping at his tail.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Ball Crew, Splash Mountaineers, and Eeyores Tail have a total points advantage over the other 2 teams.

Final Spot
Well lets see 5 teams Clinched...that a #1 and #2 from Donald and Goofy =4 plus 1 Wildcard...then we will have a #1 and a #2 out of Mickey...leaving the #8 seed Wildcard open to any of top 5 teams in Mickey...Tusker House Blues in Goofy...and Jasmine's Necklace in Donald. That 7 teams...3 spots.

Good Luck to everyone!!! :thumbsup2

...also

If the regular season ended today...

the Popcorn Bucket Playoff would look like this:
(9) Splash Mountaineers vs. (16) Mouse of Pain
(10) Tusker House Blues vs. (15) Motley Muppets
(11) Small World Singers vs. (14) Tortuga Cowboys
(12) Eeyore's Tail vs. (13) SK Jedi

The Beverly Bowl Playoff would look like this:
(30) PotC Buccaneers Vs. (23) The Wrecking Pooh
(29) Stitch'n'Roll Vs. (24) Simba's Sidwinders
(28) Philharmagics vs. (25) Old Band-Aid Riders
(27) Taxidermy Tech vs. (26) Beirgarten Bums

Leaving 6 to play in a 6 team Necafe Coffee Cup playoff:

(17) The Disney Fanatic gets a bye
(18) Figment Followers gets a bye

(19) Tower of Beverly vs. (22) Maelstrom Kingpins
(20) My Goofy Team vs. (21) Test Track Dummies
