There are so many things that WDW does right.
1) Details, details, details... Like Previous posters have said, from the different uniforms that people wear to the music and background sounds, to the landscaping, the attention to detail really immerses you in another world.
2) The cast members: Most of my memorable times at WDW have involved the cast members in some way, like talking to a maintenance man at AK about the animals and singing XMas carols on the bus to Epcot. You get the sense that people just have fun working there or at least want to make your trip as fun as possible.
3) Most of the rides the entire family can ride together no matter their age. Sure, there are a few that my 5 year old ride chicken won't get near, but 80% of the attractions we can do as a family.
