Has anyone taken teens between 14 and 17 years old and how did they like it...not just the Dolphin swim part but the rest of it also.

I just asked my kids if they wanted to go to Discovery Cove next summer and 2 out of 4 of them said it looked boring, only 20 minutes in the water, what else is there to do, etc, etc.....

Am I Crazy or are They!!

I have been going around and around with whether we could manage to take 6 people there but the amazing reviews always make me try harder to find a way... and THATS the response I get?!!

Any teen insight anyone????

My kids loved the fact they could play in the water with fish, stingrays etc play on beach, unlimited free snack, juice etc

I have a girl (17) and a boy (14) and we just got back from DC. We did not do the dolphin swim this time and my kids still had a great time.

My DH and I took our two girls, 19 & 15, in June. They both loved it all. DD15 and I did the dolphin swim and DD19 & DH watched. We all had a great day and can not wait for our next trip!:cool1:

My DD 13 (yes a little younger than your target range but she's plenty cynical) said it looked boring, she didn't want to swim with the dolphins, etc. Once we got there it took her about 5 minutes to change her mind about swimming with the dolphins. She and her friend were in the water all day (and snacking all day, free snacks all you want was quite appealing to them). She had a great time. For my part, anytime I see her let her teenage shield of coolness down and just have fun, it's worth it.

I'm 16 and I was a little sceptical about the whole thing and originally said its not for me, but the more people mentioned it etc. the more bummed out I got that I wasn't doing it. Eventually I said I wanted to do it and we booked up, I'm really excited about it now! I'm sure the teens will love it, or if they still say no then I bet they'd be so jealous if the other people swam with the dolphins and they didn't.

Im 17 and i have been twice, i went last summer and the one before that with the seaworld camp. I really loved it, its a lot of fun to pet the stingrays, pet the birds, swim with the tropical fish and go down the (not so) lazy river.
I would say that as long as they have a friend or sibling around the same age or someone to hang out with for the day they will enjoy themselves.
