Looking at their website this place looks awesome. However, it is about $100 more just to swim with Dolphins but that sounds like a once in a lifetime thing. Is this place worth every penny? We were thinking of doing a day trip here.... Is there any way to get tickets cheaper? The tickets include 7-day pass to seaworld and we really do not need that.

and he said it was terrific. Not only is the dolphin swim great, but the opportunity to enjoy the snorkling and all the place has to offer is also great. They just loved it. I know it's a lot of money but think of it as a rare opportunity.

DH and I swam w/ the dolphins on our honeymoon in Hawaii and it was lifechanging for us. We're hoping to take ds#1 to do it soon as well.

Would it worth it even without the Dolphin experience?

We realy do not know if we can afford this. It's extra $500 on top of what we already have...

We did the dolphin swim at Discovery Cove a couple of years ago and everyone still talks about it and can't wait to do it again!!!!! It is a definite must do in your lifetime. The nice thing about it is that you have all day at discovery cove, lunch included plus 7 day sea world pass. The only bad thing is that you have to get out of the water with the dolphins when it is over. I have to highly recommend it.

My friends went a few months ago with their kids (6 & 8) and had "an incredible time".

The adults loved the dolphin swim...thought it was really wonderful for the kids to touch the dolphin, swim with it, etc...but they admitted that their favorite part - even for the kids - was the snorkeling, swimming in the lazy river and enjoying the atmosphere of it all.

They plan to go back and NOT swim with the dolphins because they had such a great time without it as well. They told me that they are glad they did it...but the park itself offered so much to their family that they are looking forward to it again.

We'll be there April 25 and my DH isn't doing the dolphin swim, but I am because I don't think my 7 y/o will go in the water with the dolphin without me. My 12 y/o would for sure.

I hope consider going even if you do not do the dolphin swim, it's only about a 20 minute encounter anyway that's actually spent with the dolphin.

Go to the SeaWorld/Discovery Cove board here if you haven't already. There is alot of wonderful reports and info there for you. :)
