Anyone have advice on how to get discounted tix to Discovery Cove?

Apply for an American Express credit card. When you get it call DC and you get 50.00 off each ticket I also used icardbonus.com to apply for the American Express card and they had one that has no finance charge for 1 year and I got 10000 bonus points for signing up. I used the bonus points to get a 1 day ticket to SeaWorld for a member of our party who is not going to DC and a 10.00 Old Navy giftcard. All in all not a bad deal After you pay for the tickets just cancel the card.

an AMEX card already. Does it have to be a new card to get the discount, or do I qualify with mine?

Nope, doesn't have to be a new account. Just call to make reservations and tell them you're using your AmExp card and want the discount.

I would be interested to hear if you find out any info on this package, it's sounds exactly like something we would like to try. Love DC especially as its never hugely busy as the numbers are controlled.The photographs cost us $15 each and then we had to buy food for the day or take sandwiches. It's very expensive and totally not worth the money you pay!

If you go to the Discovery Cove site, add the code AMXDM10 and it will describe the American Express discount.

As far food, it is all included in price of ticket. Continental breakfast, lunch with many offerings and you can get whatever you want even more than one thing, snacks bars are open most the day and all free as well, as much as you want. This is a big savings we mentally calculate out of the price had we been at another park.

Also a free picture when you arrive, no charge for parking and the free ticket to another one of their parks....it is still an expensive day, but it is really something special and worth doing at least once.
