Discovery Cove without dolphin swim

Those of you that have done DC- I would like to take my 7 year old, but the budget is not allowing the dolphin swim, even with the Season pass discount. If I take him just to do the day trip without the dolphin swim, are we going to be really disappointed? He loves animals and snorkeling, will there be enough to occupy him? Thank you !
 
I have gone to Discovery cove three times now the last on 4/29/12.I have never done the dolphin swim.The snorkling in my opinion in the best attraction there.
 


Trust me, you're not missing much. The dolphin "swim" is basically standing in the cold water with a dolphin and petting it. Then at the end the dolphin takes you for a drag through the pool with you hanging onto his fin.
It is something to try once, but Discovery Cove is just as good without it.
