I have read that you don't really need water shoes. Do you go barefoot or what. I would think you need to wear some kind of shoe and then maybe put them in the locker.

You do need to wear shoes into DC, and then you can keep in your locker. My whole family wore water shoes, and it was very easy. We actually did a bit of walking between the lockers, the reef, and our dolphin session. It was nice to have something on the feet.

When I reserved Trainer /day for DD and I, they repeatedly told me we had to wear water shoes or would not be allowed to do some things. Have read that that is not so, but will take them just in case.

Im from the bayou and everyone down here never wears shoes!! so there use to not wearin any ..But i hate not to wear shoes but i can walk on oyster shells and it not bother me. So i wore flipflops and left them in my locker and it didnt bother my feet but it really isnt anything but sand and like a sidewalk.

We brought our Tevas (rubber sandals) but ended up just going barefoot. That way we didn't have to keep track of them when we were going from area to area. (I guess we could have swum with them, but -- naaah.)
