We are going to Discovery Cove next Saturday and are beyond excited for our day :cool1::cool1:

We plan to arrive to check in about 7:4am. For those of you who have been there, can you walk me through the process of checking in and what to expect after that. I know there's breakfast, photos, lockers to get, swim vest/suits to get and such. I'm just curious what order we do what and what to expect. Thanks so much!

Check in was a breeze. They give you your time for dolphin swim then. If you have a preference, ask for it. I didn't want to go first thing, wanted to save that for late morning and was able to schedule that time. We walked through, they had a sloth there to pet, off to breakfast, then got our wetsuits. The bird avery is best in the morning as the birds are hungry. One of my dd's loved it..... but the other got freaked out it. We did go back in the afternoon for my youngest dd but the birds were not very hungry. The warm lazy river was a highlight for us. You can really do whatever you want, stingrays, snorkel, ect.... The photo package is expensive but is so worth it, the pictures are priceless. I got both girls a poster and we framed them and they are such a great memory. Chips, drinks available whenever you want. Lunch was yummy also with lot of choices. It has been 2 year so sorry I don't have quite all the details for you. Truly the best day of vacation we have ever spent. Have a great time!!

You go into the welcome area. You are directed to a check in person. That person takes your picture and gives you your ticket (it's on a lanyard). You are then directed out to have your family picture taken. We then went to breakfast and after breakfast, found the lockers and then got our vests on. You can explore where ever you want until and after your dolphin time. You are assigned to one dolphin cabana and with a group, meet the dolphin. Lunch is served from around 11 to 3. There is a snack bar on the one path to the cabanas. They have frozen alcoholic slushies! Regular slushies too. Snacks, like soft pretzel, bags of snacks. Food at the snack bar is all day long.

The food was good. Breakfast and lunch were all you could eat. I am not a beer drinker, so the free Busch beer I cannot comment on.

We spent the whole day there. We loved the reef and the lazy river. We'd warm up in the river when we got too cold in the reef.

I must say, it was a very relaxing day.
