Discovery Cove Ultimate VIP Experience?

Just wondering if anyone has ever done this?

It seems crazy expensive - $2000-2500 per person IN ADDITION to entry tickets - for what sounds like nothing more than a concierge/butler for the day, and a single animal meet-and-greet. The Trainer For The Day add-on seems to add more that that for only $299 per person.

Maybe I'm missing something here?

The Ultimate VIP Experience is priced per group, not per person. Up to 8 people. While planning our Spring Break trip to Discovery Cove I read reviews on the VIP Experience. People seemed to really love it, but since it was our first visit I decided not to book it. I'm glad we didn't. We spent practically the entire day in the water. We would like to book it if we go again sometime. For the price you get the cabana and cabana host, a no-line check-in process, swim with the sharks, photo package (and other photos taken of you besides just the dolphin I believe), flamingo encounter, aviary first thing, and an animal encounter. The "elevated" lunch and drink package upgrade aren't selling points for our family but the rest of it is. I don't see the trainer for a day on the website right now, but I do remember seeing that when we were planning. It also sounded like a great day.

We booked the Discovery Cove tickets that included 14 days at 3 other parks plus parking. It was such a great deal. We started in Tampa for a couple of days at Busch Gardens. Then a week at Marriott's Harbor Lake to do the Orlando parks. We went to Sea World three different mornings at opening, stayed for a few hours and then left as it started to get crowded. We were able to do all the rides, show and animals within just 3 mornings. And parking was close. It felt like a vacation. Aquatica was crazy busy all week. So we just went a few evenings for a couple of hours. We didn't get to all the water slides but we did have fun.

Okay, thanks. Since the web link allows you to choose quantities more than 1, I had assumed it was per person - it doesn't actually specify that anywhere that I could find. Per group is a little more reasonable, but still only seems "worth it", if you're the kind of person who likes to have other people do everything for you.
