Get there early, and book your Dolphin swim for the morning. When we were there there was a big thunderstorm in the middle of the afternoon, and they evacuated the pools for about an hour. This meant that everyone who had a late afternoon dolphin swim was squeezed into the final part of the day.

Rob

I agree with Rob, get there early and just RELAX and enjoy the day. There are not a massive choice of things to do, but the ray lagoon and coral reef are attractions that change each time you go through.

Oh I REALLY enjoyed a frosted Pina Colada slushy at the end of the day while watching the trainers getting some play time in with the dolphins, everyone seemed to be having a great deal of fun and it was a great finish to the day.

That Pina Colada Slushy sounds lovely :D We are booked for October and really looking forward to it:Pinkbounc

We got loungers around the dolphin interaction area and it was fun watching the trainers working and playing with the dolphins when the were not interacting with guests.

We got there at about 8.30 and had a 9.40 allocation.

Can`t wait for our swim with the Dolphins, but still 5 weeks to go. Its so hot here could go a Pina Colada Slushy or two now!!

I found the whole day amazing (so amazing we are doing trainer a day this christmas day).

Little things to do are to collect your photos sooner rather than later to avoid a big heaving stropping rush at the end. People ain't so nice when they are queuing.

An underwater camera is great fun but they are a lot cheaper in Walmart than DC. We have a great photo of a huge southern ray almost sat on Nic head.

They main thing is to take your time and take every little thing in. The day for us seemed to fly by and yet we can remeber every little thing.

You'll have a fantastic time. We went in December so by 4 pm we were tired and getting a liitle chilly. We were in the water the whole time except 1 hour for lunch. While watching the trainers put the dolphins through their paces we shared a huge hot chocolate topped with whipped cream.

I went to Discovery Cove two weeks ago today. It was absolutely brilliant. We arrived at 8.15am and were allocated our dolphin swim at 8.45am we weren't given a choice on the time. We were the first people of the day to get to swim, what I thought was so nice was that the dolphins looked really pleased to see the trainers (I'm not crazy, honestly you could just tell;) )

What does everyone wear to lunch at DC please. Do you have to cover up, I know my DW isn`t comfortable just having lunch in her cossie. Also she would like to know if the ladies tend to wear one piece swimsuits or bikinis.

Thanks as always.

I wore a one piece and at lunch just slipped on a very light cotten sarong and blousy thing. Many people just sat down in their costumes and wetsuits.
