Discovery Cove questions

We are going to Discovery Cove for the 1st time in December. Are there a lot of cabanas and is it hard to get one? Also, what if you pick an entree for lunch and it's not really what you wanted, do you get to pick another?

I don't think it will be a problem to get a cabana. I saw empty one when we were there. You can pick anything you want for lunch and go back as much as you want. DS went three times and ate it all.

I have been twice and did not see many of the cabanas. First trip the park was virtually empty, maybe only a couple hundred people. There was an empty one. Last trip the park probably was not full, but I would guess half or more full, there were no cabanas left that I saw. If you truly want one, I would call ahead and reserve it.

Personally, I would not spend the money on a cabana. We spent maybe 10 minutes on our lounge chairs. Lounge chairs are plenty so you will easily find some. We spent the whole day in the water or the aviary. there is just so much to do.

I agree with hinodis, don't waste $$ on a cabana. We never sat still long enough to enjoy one. We were too busy with the swims and lunch to sit much, and when we did it was on a lounge chair. There was too much to do to waste time just sitting around!
