Hi :wave2:

We have reservations for DC on October 6th.

My question is, how long did you end up staying at DC? If you answer "all-day" what is all day? When did you get back to your hotel?

We are trying to plan what to do after, and I have no idea how long we'll be there. We're thinking of maybe heading over to Epcot, for dinner and Illuminations. Or MGM, for the same thing....Will we be to tired from being out all day? :confused3

Any insight would help!!! TIA!!

My nephew and I did the trainer for a day and were there from a bit before normal opening to like 5pm. And that includes 90 minutes sitting in a classroom because of a lightening delay. When we left, we went to Chef Mickey's for dinner, than back to the room - we were wiped. I don't think we really a lot more, just that we did more walking and were on a timed schedule.

My biggest question would be - what are you doing the next day? If it's going to be a planned day of parks or what not, I'd say skip Epcot and head back to the hotel. If you're going to have a leisurely morning, and a not too jam packed afternoon/evening, go ahead.

Cheers!

Thanks for responding, Jen!

As for our plans the next day, we are switching hotels. We are staying off Disney for the first 2 nights, (couldn't pass up that $59. Sheraton Safari rate) and moving to POR. We are going to the Halloween party that night, so we plan on sleeping in anyways. Not to much planned at all.

I'm wondering if we should just enjoy the pool at the hotel. My DD loves that. Maybe grabbing a bite on the way home?? hmmm....just thinking out loud!

Anyone else have a story about what they did after??

Thanks again!!!

edited to add-I just noticed, we'll be there the same time as you! Not as long though, We'll be there October 5-11!!! Where are you staying?

Agree that you will be tired after a day at DC. You need to arrive there early to beat the crowds. Most leave around 3pm. We left around 5pm because the daughter didn't want to leave the coral reef lagoon. She made friends with the fishies and I had to drag her out of the water. In our case, we were staying at the Renaissance club level, so we went back to our hotel room, rested, changed cloths, and ate snacks in the club lounge. Then we walked to SWF and saw the fireworks show.

You could visit Epcot or MGM afterwards, but you'll need a couple hours at the hotel to rest and recharge before heading out again. The hotel pool may be a good idea.

We spent a full day at DC....they almost had to drag us out! DC was the big surprise for my girlfriend's 30th birthday. When we got back to the Boardwalk we showered and changed and went to Flying Fish for dinner. Since we had the free pass to Seaworld we decided to go there the next day and told our driver to pick us up at 8 AM and we did it all over again!

Both times we have been we arrived when the park opened and were very reluctant to leave when the park closed at 5.00pm.
We arranged our swim for 1st thing in the morning so the cold water was not such a shock and then spent most of the day chilling by the waters edge and watching the other groups. But then we were only 4 adults, i think it would have been very different if we had children with us!

As we are not going this year i am very jealous,

have a great time

;) alex ;)

We just did the TFAD program at DC last Thursday. My kids (DD8 and DS10) were completely wiped at the end of the day. We left around 5:30 or 6 (we took showers there since we were travelling to Vero Beach that night). It seemed like a very relaxing day, but we were contsantly in the water, and all that input really tired my kids out.
