This might be a silly question but I know you guys can answer this
When making the reservations do you have to pay in full and what happens if you want to pay in cash

They usually take a desposit of 20 % at time of booking and the balance is due something like 60 days before arrival ( could be 90 days I can't remember but I'm sure the info is available on their website). I guess you could ask if it's possible to make the booking on CC then switch to pay cash on arrival, IMHO the reason for the sysytem is to make sure people actually turn up. If you don't have a CC I'm sure a cheque would suffice, if you dont have a bank account I would guess you could use Western Union to wire the money in to SW/DC.
