I'm a day away from booking myself and my 8 year old son a trip to swim with the dolphins at Discovery Cove in December. Eeeeeeek!!!

What I need to know, just before I hand over £256, is do we get a souvenir photograph with the dolphin?

I'm picking up mixed messages. some state you get a photo of your party as you enter DC, and some say you get a photo with the dolphin?

Which is it? Because I will be so disappointed if we don't bring home a souvenir photo?

We just went yesterday and the only "free" picture is the one you get when you first go in. Of course they take pictures of your swim but you have to pay for that. You are free to take as many pictures as you want though. They even let us go in as a family to have our picture taken with the dolphin. We split up the swim because we had our 1 year old with us and they even let him come in to have his picture taken with the dolphin! Let me know if you have any other questions

I can't believe you pay all that money and don't even get one photo? That sucks!

I'm really desperate to go though, so I'll just have to live with it. I guess the photo's you have to pay for are the £199 one's? I'm so disappointed. I haven't even got anyone to take any photo's from the beach, as there's just me and my 8 year old going. Mind you, I did read you need a pretty good zoom lense to take any decent pics from the beach. So, I guess you have to do without, or pay ridiculous prices?

Memories last forever though don't they?

Like 1TNMom said the only "free" picture you get is the one when you first enter the park. I can remember the price of the souvenir video was $59.99 but can't remember the price of the photos. They offer various different packages but you definitely won't be spending as much as £199. There were 5 of us, we bought one each of us swimming with our dolphin, one each of us kissing him and a family one with him, that's 11 photos altogether and I know it definitely didn't come to £199.

Have just found my receipts, we paid $175.89 for 11 photos, that works out at $15.99 each.

Go for it and book! You will have a fantastic day. I have framed the family photo of us with our dolphin, Tyler, and hung it in my bathroom and every time I relax in the bath I relive the memories
