Discovery Cove Photography Package

Any info on this? I booked the premium birthday package and it includes the video but not the disc with all the photos on it.
Now I am thinking of downgrading my birthday package to the standard package and than paying ala carte for the DVD and Photo disc. I am trying to find out which way I do it will come out cheaper. The cabana that is included in the premium package will be a nice touch but not necessary. I doubt we will spend that much time in it after all.
The standard birthday package is $89
The premium birthday is $229 and includes cabana, DVD, and other goodies.

We got the adventure photo package @ $139. It included the photo CD, (5) 5x7's, a 4x6 (all in nice DC photo folders) and 2 key chains. We also bought the DVD @ $50 and with tax the total was $201.

Thanks for posting! I weighed it out on both sides and am keeping the premium birthday and if the photos come out nice, I will buy the Adventure Package.

lol Im just getting the Photo CD and video DVD only cause i know myself i may end up spending more than $400.00 plus im sure thathubby and i will have a bunch of pictures from out own experience

No, I don't believe so, but I got this information too when a couple of weeks ago I mailed Discovery Cove about it.

Do they ever offer discounts on these pictures? like Photopass offers a discount if you pre-buy, do they ever offer something similar or do they have promos for the pictures?

My DF proposed at Discovery Cove in September '08, and I am believe the birthday and proposal top packages are pretty similar. We obviously got the DVD inclusive of the package, but we chose to top this up with a package that included a keyring each, a CD of all our prints, 7 prints of photos of our choice and then a further complementary photo with 2 wallet sized print. I seem to remember that this came to about $200 ish but it really was worth it. The photos that were printed were excellent, and I have reprinted all of the photos on the CD at least 3 times for albums, DF's family etc.

I have to mention how nice the photo people at Discovery Cove were. We went and arranged our CD straight after our Dolphin Swim & the proposal, and didn't realise there would be photographers in the ray pools, the avairy (sp?) and on the lazy river, but have had an extra 15 or so photos taken, the lovely lady at the photo booth happily reburnt our CD, so in the end we have about 60 photos of our day plus about 20 that come as standard on the disk of the park itself. Well worth it in my opinion!

I think overall you may find you spend more you choose to downgrade to the standard birthday package. Plus the cabana experience is out of this world! We were looked after sooooo well, had a fridge full of drinks (half of which we took back to our hotel, and lasted us a good portion of our holiday!), had a lovely lady popping to bring us food etc, and even changed our included champagne to fizzy grape juice because we don't drink. The private table & chairs is also a perfect setting to cut (and indeed eat) a birthday cake with all your family and friends before enjoying a private sunbathe on the loungers, or going and enjoying the rest of the park. I really don't think you will regret the money paid, and think you will have an amazing time!

Either way, have a fantastic birthday at Discovery Cove, and bring us back lots of pictures!!!
