Discovery Cove on my own?

Hi, I am considering going to discovery cove when i next go to Florida , however due to my husbands disability he couldn't do enough stuff there to justify the non-swim price ( he'd want to spend most of the time inside in the shade as he would get too hot in his chair in the sun and beach wheelchairs/ sun loungers are not suitable)

Has anybody ever gone on their own? How was it?

I'm shy so probably wouldn't be able to strike up a conversation with other guests and am a little unsure about travelling to and from DC on my own ( although we usually have 1 or 2 regular taxi drivers due to needing an accessible taxi who i generally get to know)

Advice or your experiences would be appriciated to help me decide

Thanks

There are so many things to see there that you would be pretty good on your own there. I am one of those ppl that just likes to see things, I would love a day at DC by myself where I could just enjoy everything without having to worry about others that I am with (yes pesky kids :) )

I don't see any problems with going alone. It would be pretty hard on your husband, since they require you switch to their beach wheelchairs. If he does want to go and you dont' mind the extra money a Cabana is a good option since the newer ones have fans i was told and they do have a covered area he can hang out in and watch the dolphins. But that could then be a really pricey ticket :)
