Discovery Cove / Dolphin Swim

We are due in Orlando for two weeks - 24th July - 7th August.

My three children are very keen to swim with dolphins and naively, I had thought you simply walked in !!!!

DC is sold out for our fortnight.

Any body any ideas ?

Can we be wait listed ? and if so, what are our chances ?

Are there any other places to do a dolphin swim in / near Orlando ? I'm happy to drive a few hours to the coast (either way) if necessary.

Please help !!!

Hello! I may have good news for you. The same thing happened when I was trying to book my DS17 and his girlfriend. I called to ask if they could put me on a wait list- that isn't available. They did tell me to watch the website from between 25-30 days before my visit, that there is a 100% refund policy if you cancel before the 30 days so they usually have some cancellations. If my "calculations" are correct that should be somewhere around June 25th through July 8th that you should "watch" the website for openings for your party. I did get reservations for the kids doing this, it was actually 34 days out.
There is another possible option. During the summer months they are offering a Twilight Discovery Program in the evenings on Thursday and Friday nights. It is very similar to the day program but the dolphin swim is different. Day-group of up to 8 people spend some time in shallow water "playing" then 2 at a time they go out to deeper water and are towed back to shore by the dolphin. Night- groups of up to 6 stay in the shallow water only but get more personal interaction with the dolphin. Both swim times are 30 minutes. Also the evening meal is a lot more elaborate and the lazy river and bird aviary are closed at night. If you want more info on the night program there is a link on their website.

Thanks for the tip about cancellations - I'll be watching their website for availability every day.

I had already heard of the evening swim - but think this is also full for most of July / August.
