Can someone verify or tell me if the Day pass is worth 139.00 a person with no dolphin swim. My kids have done a dolphin swim in the past in Cancun Mx. I am concerned about the no cancellation policy thus no refunds no matter what the weather is. We are thinking July timeframe but unsure if it will live up to the 139.00 per person rate which would run our family 700+ dollars for one day with no dolphin swim and no Seaworld admission as we wont be there to visit after our day at Discovery cove as this would be our last full day in Florida

We are going in May and this trip I would rather just relax and hang out and not do the dolphin swim. So to me the extra $100 or more for the added interaction is just not worth it. We are going to do the Sea Venture and hopefully the new freshwater area is open and we might be able to see it. There is so much to see and do there that just a day package is a great value.

My sister on the other hand would not go unless she can swim with the dolphins so we are picking up the day package and she is paying to upgrade to a dolphin swim pacakge :)

I just recently found out that if you have a Sea World season pass you can get the regular day package with no dolphin swim for $69 per person (but it varies a little based on when you are going- summer may cost more) The Sea World season pass is $115 and you only need ONE season pass to buy up to 6 discounted day passes to Discovery Cove. The discounted tickets of course do not come with the additional OTHER PARK days on it.

Go to the Discovery Cove website and click to go through to START YOUR PURCHASE, choose day package only, and in the box at the top of the page "promotion code" type in PASSMEMBER2011 and it will reload the page with the pass member prices. You will have to scroll down and go through the months of the calender until you get to June to see what the rates are for that time.

The regular DAY package with no dolphin swim will have a little palm tree icon. If it is a dolphin icon then it is showing you the Dolphin package price. And the little head icon is the Sea Venture price.

In July the rate is 139 with a Seaworld pass discount for the non dolphin swim. I think we are opting to do something else for that kind of money. I just cant reason with 700+ to go swimming with fish when we have done this in other Caribbean places in the past. I think the no cancellation thing has sealed it for us. I keep thinking what if it storms and how fun could that really be. Yes we could tolerate it but for that kind of money you would want a great time not something to tolerate Now what to do at the end of our trip to Disney World that will be fun ?
