Discovery Cove and 14-day Seaworld tickets question

We are going to do DC when we go in November. I read where admission to DC also comes with a 14-consecutive-day SW tickets to be used before or after the DC day.

So, does that mean it's either before or after, or can you do a couple days at SW, then your DC day, then more days, as long as it's 14 days from the day of first use? Just wanted to be sure I knew how that worked!

And, forgive me, I'm sure I'll be asking many (what seems to some who are more familiar with Seaworld and Universal) dumb questions as I know NOTHING about Seaworld or Universal and we're trying to plan a November trip for both instead of doing our usual WDW trip.

Yep....your 14 days included admission to both SeaWorld and Aquatica can be used before or after (or both!) your day at Discovery Cove.

I don't know if you're like us or not, but we like to go ALL DAY! So, we also used our Sea World ticket after we finished at Discovery Cove.

We went Black Friday of Thanksgiving Week, so got to Sea World before 7 pm and were able to see a lot of the Christmas shows that evening. When we went to Sea World the next day, didn't have to try to fit those in that day. We were able to see and do all that we wanted.

Discovery Cove closes at 5:30.

The PP has much more stamina than our family . We always find we are DEAD TIRED after a day at DC, and usually end up dragging our sorry fannies back to our resort for an evening of rest and relaxation. I give kudos to those who are energetic enough to keep going after a full day in the water and sunshine!!! Maybe its a sign that I'm getting old?

If you don't have a car is it easy to get to Sea World from Discovery Cove?

I suspect we may be too tired to go to Sea World after our Discovery Cove day but it will be New Years Eve so it might feel a bit pathetic to just go back to the hotel and sleep, the option of Sea World might be a good one.

We did not pay extra for Signature Seating (don't even know if there was such a thing in 2010), but had no trouble getting in to any of the shows.

We weren't close for any of them (except for the sea lion one, but we were there early so as to see the mime - that's the only one where we there before the gates opened. Or that might have been for the daytime show the next day.), but had no trouble seeing anything and didn't have to sit in any of the splash zones. Actually, we entered during the Ice Show because it was running a bit long and still found seating.

Oh, and we were early for the daytime Shamu one, but only because it didn't take us as long to get to the stadium as we thought it would and we couldn't think of anything to do in the short time there was until the doors opened.

We didn't have any trouble for seating at any of the shows Friday or Saturday of Thanksgiving week. The only times we waited to enter anything were the sealion shows (for the mime), Shamu daytime (as I explained) and the Polar Express, but the line for that about 6-7p (I think) on Friday night wasn't bad, so we only waited because we must have gotten there when they began the previous ride.

We actually weren't tired after our day at Discovery Cove. We felt that was our most relaxing day of the entire trip. No lines, no running all over a park, even the music is relaxing. It's actually a good contrast to go between the 2 parks, just to see how the atmosphere changes.

Love dc and yes 14 days in any order a couple days before and a couple of days after whatever you choose. Have fun it's a awesome place we enjoyed the aviary and the stingray lagoon the most. We've done it 2 times and his last time just did the resort not dolphin encounter since we already did it. I liked the dolphin encounter but not enough to do again since you really only got 20 minutes with the dolphin and your in a group. Ok to do once but no need to do it again. Love love love dc have fun.

Parking is free for your day at Discovery Cove, but you'll have to pay at SW and Aqautica. You can add on a parking pass for $30 for unlimited parking at those two parks as well. If you go more than 2 days, it'll pay to do this option, since parking at SW is $15 per day.
