Discovery Cove Amex discount

There is an Amex discount for discovery cove when we want to go problem is I don't have an Amex card but my sister does. Would I be able to use my sisters card to buy the passes and show the card at checkin like required even though the card won't be in my name? I really want to go to discovery cove but just can't afford it at the regular prices that are showing on the site, I need a discount! Any feedback would be appreciated.

In 2010 we went on our Honeymoon and Discovery Cove was give to us as a gift. The person purchased them using an AMEX and we didn't have to show it at all.

Just wondering what the Amex deal is ? We are thinking of going to DC again, and would love to save some money !

EDIT .........Found it , Amex saves about $20. PP ! Better than nothing, and its good for our dates in Oct. !

Can anyone access the Amex site? I was able to a couple days ago and when I finally went to book yesterday it's down really hoping it comes back.

I can't get the discount to load now either. Hope it comes back up soon. To answer the OP question you can also get an AMEX prepaid card for free via their website with your name on it and just show that if asked. Since you do not have to use the card to buy the tickets you don't even have to load the prepaid card.

You can call and they should do it over the phone. I was out of luck cause I want the first week in September which was available at the discount rate online but the rep I spoke to said the promo doesn't start til the 24th. So now I just hope it comes back.

I'd call the 800 number again, the rep had to put me on hold to check but she came back and said she could book it. Make sure you tell them it's a cardholder discount and you won't be using Amex points or anything. I believe she said it ran from sep. 24 til Jan 2014.
