I'm considering doing Discover the Magic with my daughter next month when we go. We've done it before a couple of years ago, so pretty much know what to expect overall.

Has anyone done it lately? Which attractions have been included? When we went, It was PoTC and AstroBlasters. Just trying to get a good idea for which rides we might want skip standing in line for earlier in our trip. :)

We did it last Sept. It included PoTC, Jungle Cruise and Astroblasters, with a quick trip to what was formerly Tom Sawyers Island (I can never remember the new name). My boys had a blast!

The we loved the two fastpasses we got at the end for any attraction. We used it for the HM the night it opened with the holiday overlay. Great Bonus! :)

Ah, I forgot about the free fast passes at the end! I was waffling on giving up such a big chunk of the day to the tour, but if you get to ride three attractions AND get two FastPasses, that's totally worth it! The time you save by not waiting in line for those attractions totally makes up for the time devoted to the tour.

thanks!

How old are your boys? My son is 11 and my daughter is 7. We love Disneyland and I am always looking for new things to keep it exciting. My reservation with this tour is the number of guests allowed. I think I read that the tour will take up to 20. How many were in your group? Thanks!

It was me, hubby, and my boys 7, 5 and 7 mos. We did it on a Fri morning and the only other people in our tour was a family with 2 boys ages 6 & 7. Our kids became fast friends and had a blast hunting for the clues together. The tour guides were AMAZING! They totally played the fun role with the kids, as well as give the adults some interesting DL facts while walking about. I recommend this tour for anyone with kids.

When we did the tour a couple of years ago, there were about six kids and six adults, if I remember correctly. It was a very manageable number, and our tour guides were amazing as well. One of them quickly clued in to the fact that my daughter, who has some ongoing sensory processing issues, was getting some anxiety on PotC, and she sat right next to her on the ride and made it super fun for her by pointing out different things.

Based on the reviews and this thread, we're going to do this the first day we have in the Park. It's a EM at DCA that morning, but after we'll do the tour as a gift to my DD10 who will be celebrating her birthday that day. She said she'd love to do it!

Just thought I'd pipe in that my five year old and then two year old absolutely loved this tour. My DD5 wants to do it again this year for her birthday. The extra FPs are not a guarantee, though, just as a note. They are only if you are unable to get on one of your three promised rides. We didn't get on POTC on our tour, so we got the FPs.

If you want a discount, and don't have an AP, apply for a Disney Visa card and use it for 20% off. You can also use that card at DCA for a special M&G and free picture, so nice little bonus.

We got on all three rides on our tour and still got the FPs.

Also, another thing for anyone interested in this tour that hasn't been mentioned so far in this thread: you get a private meet & greet at Mickey's House at the end of the tour in addition to the rides with no waiting.
