Discover Interest Rate

I am well on my way to finally paying off debts that have been burdening me for far too long, only issue is with Discover card and the current interest rate. It is at 14.49%, which I know is not outrageous, but the finance charges every month are really annoying to see when I am so driven to pay off this card. I have contacted them numerous times trying to get them to lower it and they can’t and won’t offer me anything lower. Has anyone had any success with Discover lowering interest? What must I do to get them to lower it? Any thoughts?

Could you possibly join a credit union, get their card, and use it to pay off the Discover card? Credit union credit cards generally have lower rates.
