Discover card- cashback rewards

I realize this is asking the obvious but thinking of opening a discover card for the $150 cash back and 5% cashback rewards on different categories but is it literally cash back as in a check? or a statement credit? Just how do you get the "cashback" Thanks

There are different options. You can have it directly deposited to your bank account, or have it applied to your statement balance like a payment, or order gift cards. The option I tend to use most often is to pay for my Amazon purchases using the cashback balance.

There are several choices. I know you can get a gift card (you can usually get like a $45 gift card for $40 bonus or something like that) or a statement credit. Not positive if a check is still an option.

I always choose a statement credit.

I didn't see check as an option at Christmas when I redeemed discover cash back rewards. I just ordered discover gift cards to use as I really didn't need any of the others offered.

You can get statement credit, direct deposit, partner gift cards, Discover gift cards, charitable donations or use the credit to pay Amazon (and a handful of online companies) purchases.
