As part of the college program....are you entitled to any discounts on merchandise or food?

I have not attended the program but I have heard of quick table service NO DISCOUNTS. At full service places, you do! A lot of Disney shops do have discounts for cast members. Here is a VERY NICE TIP!

If you want to but BIG TICKET Items while on the your program then...

Fall/Fall Advantage- Wait til the end (holiday discounts 20%- 40%)

Spring/ Spring Advantage- Right when you get there (the end of the winter discounts 20%- 40%)

You can get quick service food discount depending on the place in WDW and anywhere in Disneyland (except food carts).

The merch discount does jump to 40% for the holidays and you get a booklet of coupons.

The standard merch discount is 20% (40% during holiday time). When making merchandise purchases you must show your ID and you must be the one to pay. The cashier can't see you take money from someone else and won't accept a card with some other name on it. The quick service discount is only good for Animal Kingdom and resorts during certain times of the day. If you ever get thirsty or want a snack in the parks buy it from a merch location rather than QS location so you can use your discount on it. You get a 20% discount at Table service locations but they automatically add 18% gratuity.

I feel like the discounts/perks in Disneyland are so much better!
In Disneyland, we got 20% off of table service AND quick-service food (with no automatic tip, though it's always nice to be generous to your fellow cast members), 20% off of all merchandise (it goes up to 40% sometime before the holidays, but I arrived in the first week of January and the discount was through the middle of February).

You also get to take up to three people into the park for free with your main entrance pass SIXTEEN times, rather than the SIX you get at Disney World.

The extra maingates and discounts at more places are awesome. And remember you even get tossed an extra ticket for the holidays and the discount book.

I didn't get a discount booklet, but I came right after the holidays so I'm guessing they give it out before?

PS Jonathan... is that you?
