Discounts over 4th of july?

Our sons sixth birthday is at the end of June and he is now asking to go to Disney around his birthday. We have a big family trip planned for June to the Dominican Republic but I'm thinking MAYBE we could get a weekend in at disney early July. I can't get anything I want with points over those dates at this point so I'm wondering if I can hope for a discount on the holiday.

Never looked at July 4th, is it usually excluded from the discounts? Thanks for any info

July 4 is not excluded from deals! We've been going the weeks of Easter and July 4 for about 5 years straight now (basically since my kids became "older" and I didn't want to pull them out of school anymore....). I'm always pleasantly surprised July 4 is not blacked out (it's very busy/crowded!) and I'm even more pleasantly surprised that Easter is not blacked out this year either!

So glad you posted this! I have the same questions! We've always gone fall/winter but with high school & college schedules it looks like late june/early July is our only option. What kinds of discounts can we maybe expect? I'm a free dining fan, but I know that won't happen.

There is a room-only deal that comes out because that is the deal I always book. I am not sure about free dining, sorry!
