Discounts on Universal Passes

I called the number listed above and the first person I spoke to said I needed to either come into the office or order them online. I then told her that I couldn't order them online because I was not a member of AAA south and to stop by the GA office would involve about a 20hr drive. That is when she said I could pick them up at any Orlando office when I arrived in FL for my vacation. I said I would prefer to order them ahead of time and have them sent to me up here in NY. That is when I had to speak with Pat, who must either be the head of the office or the person who sends out the passes. She handled all the details. I had to fax them a copy of my AAA membership card, credit card, and driver's license. The tickets were sent to me 2nd day air. I was told I would have to pay for the shipping but I haven't seen that charge show up on my credit card bill yet so who knows.

It sounds like this particular office does not do this often, but they will send out passes if you ask. Good luck.

Bill

I also called from NY and dealt with Pat. very smooth transaction. I did not have access to a fax so I scanned my cards and emailed them to her. No problems.

Could you tell me where the buy 4 (2day passes) and get one free online site is?

Did someone recently suggest that we 'group up' to qualify?

I will need 3 one day passes and as long as the 2nd day doesn't expire on these I would be willing to buy 5 and have someone 'buy' the extra two from me.

If you have any info on this, please IM me.
Thanks

I just found out about Is. of Adventure and that there is a Marvel Comics area. My 7 yr. old son LOVES super heros especially Spider Man, is it worth spending the extra money to go to the 2nd park? Will we see a lot of superheros, parades, etc. or is it all rides and no shows? I definitely want to go to the original Universal Studios and we will only be able to visit this park for one day - can we do both? Thanks for your help - we leave for Disney in 7 days.

yes...::yes::
(but only if he is tall enough)
IOA is mostly Roller Coasters and thrill rides. The Spiderman ride puts you in a news van that gets caught up when Spidey mixes it up. When it is working right, it is incredible. The Hulk is a big green roller coaster.... I could go on, but if your DS isn't tall enough, it has thye theming that US doesn't have, but it might be more torture if he isn't tall enough... I would look at the US website...

:jumping2:

I don't know about that one but I just bought a 2day Pass (3day free) for Universal,IoA, and city walks for $99 plus taxes....This offer is available online only....Hope it helps! :teeth:

I bought a 3 day both parks, never expire pass for $122 from Ticket Mania.
I also bought an Annual Pass for WDW.
And I live in Colorado!!!
What was I thinking? :rotfl2:

JEJE...I just know you're going to have a great time anyways! Enjoy your trip!!! :rotfl: :earboy2:

We are going to be in Orlando in July.....we will be there a week, but aren't doing the parks the whole week....we will have 2 12 yr olds with us so am not planning on doing Disney, but think Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure would be something they would really like.....is each of those doable 1 day each? What's the best way to do tickets for those 2 parks? I see there is much information on this site, but my brain is on overload from all of it! What's the best place to get discounts for those 2 places? TIA

if you are staying on site at one of the three universal/loew hotels, you could squeeze by barely with a one day park each.
if you stay on site, you go to the head of the line thus eliminating a lot of down time standing in line.

for a few of the shows, this will eat of time that you could use for the rides.

if you started when the parks open in the morning and do counter foods, you could make it all in one day if you do not take breaks or repeat rides.

you will miss a lot of the surroundings that make universal so kewl though by doing it commando style.
and , you won't have time to check out the shops.

i have done universal with three sons before each park in one day but it took some of the joy out of it.
i would suggest that you spend at least three days at the parks.
spend one and a half days at each park if you can.

i usually buy my passes on line at the universal store.
if you only want a three day pass, there is a special now for buy a two day two park pass and get the third day free.

i bought the buy a two day for $99 and get three days free.
mapleleaf.com has great sales for universal and if you are a member of mousesavers.com, you get a special rate for the tickets.

if i can help more, please let me know

texasgander<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_8542537", true); </SCRIPT> , Mcraven is right DW & I did both parks in one day No shows but most of the rides I would suggest staying one night on U.S. property for the FTL pass you will be Thanking us for this advice.Spiderman & Dueling Dragons fun fun fun

staying on property isn't an option.....we have our stay paid for through our timeshare and another couple is going with us....that would eat a big chunk of change to stay somewhere else....but thank you for the suggestion.

If we had to choose only 1 park to do over 2 days, which would you choose? Universal or Isle of Adventure?

I did sign up at mousesavers.com......how do I go about checking on discount tickets?

We don't actually own a timeshare there, ours is in Texas, but we trade our week, so can usually get something there in FL when we want to go there. I will check out ticketmania since I am sure in the next year or so we will be back...thanks!

hi texasgander.
about mousesavers, they listed on their site not to advertise the promo as it is for members only.

go to the section for tickets and you will see it there. that is unless the offer has expired. i was last looking at it about a month ago when i was debated which way to go on getting my tickets.

universal studios will open up before the regular scheduled time of 9:00 if there is a large crowd waiting. three different times we got in at 8:35 due to the large crowd waiting for it to open.

islands has the coasters and some show/attractions. also has very kewl attractions such as spiderman. also has mythos, a great resturant.

universal studios does not have the coasters but the rides are as exciting as ioa.
mummy, shrek, men in black are not to miss attractions/rides.
depending on the ages of your group would determine which park i would recommend to you.
i always go to the studio park first, then take the shortcup behind hard rock cafe (by nickolodean) to move over to IOA.

i stay about 5 hours at the studios, move over to IOA for about 3 hours and return back to the studios till it closes. that has been my pattern the last few years. don't know why i continue that way, probably out of habit.

give us more 411 on the group that is going and i and others here can make better suggestions.

since you are not staying on site, positively be at the park around 8:15.
if crowded, and it will in july, you more than likely will enter way before 9 that morning.

sorry for my delay in this reply, have been out of town.

if the adults and teens (pre teen) in your group like coasters, then go with ioa.

if you want some thrill rides and amazing attractions, do universal studios.
thinking shrek, jimmy neutron, men in black, mummy, animal planet, et, earthquake, are all winners andmost age groups would enjoy them.
maybe mummy would be too intense if you do not like coasters. it has a great story line and is an indoor coaster ride. but it is a very smooth ride.
