Discounts on suites?

When you check mousesavers and you see a good code, does that apply to suites and concierge level? Is there any way to save on the better rooms?

the deals you see on mousesavers almost always include concierge rooms. for example, i got a discounted quote for Yacht Club concierge, main building GF concierge, 14th floor concierge at the Contemporary, and a garden suite (concierge) at BWI. I know they also had Beach Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Polynesian concierge rooms available.

However, suites are rarely discounted, but it never hurts to ask.

Is the discount for concierge the same as a standard room? I thought the AP discount was about $85 for a standard room? Would this be about the same discount one might expect on concierge?

Yes, the discounts for this latest round of AP rates and room only codes for concierge were about $85 off rack rate, depending on which resort. The discounts were much higher when they gave percentages off instead of flat rates, but some discount is better than none.
