Anyone know of a way to get discounts on one park/one day tickets?

Most of what I've seen is for multi day. We'll be driving to CA for other reasons and might be able to swing by for a marathon DCA day to see Carsland. :drive:

While I'd prefer to spend a lot of days, it's not happening this time. But one day is better than no days, right? :cool1:

I do know of the CA Teachers Association discount, but it's only on hoppers and only $4 with a $2.50/ticket fee. Anything else out there? Group will be myself, DH, DD3, DS5 and DS7 along with my parents. Timing is in October.

Thanks. I looked at Mousesavers - it did give me an idea (to contact some friends who work at big companies/ CA government). But, it looks like, as suspected, finding discounted one day tickets is not easy. I'm trying to squeeze a visit into an already tight budget! Just can't resist since we're going to have already made the trek to CA. How can I be sooooo close and not go? :hyper:

Do you have any non-expiring passes left over from WDW with days left on them? Sometimes that is the "cheapest" way to get into the DL parks for just one day. You can use your WDW passes (that are non-expiring) at DL.

I am not sure if you could buy a WDW non-expiring multi day pass and use it FIRST at DL, and then save the rest of the days for a future WDW trip. It might work the same way (they call WDW and have a day taken off the pass).

Each member of your party would need their own WDW pass of course. This does help some people, who also visit WDW regularly.

Mouse savers recommends ares travel. It only saves you $5 each ticket compared to buying it at the gate. I guess its better than nothing. Many companies offer discounts on their corporate sites. That'll be what we go with. Ask around among your friends. Dh works for Directv and apparently they have a good discount ($10 per ticket).

Single day tickets are pretty tough to discount. But, it's still magical and worth it, right?

Getaway today has good discounts of you buy a package though their site. But for 1 day it's not much help. Sorry!

We did GAT for our multi day last year, but it doesn't save much for a one day.

I did ask some friends and one came back with that they do get discounts, but they weren't sure how much. Let's hope it's good! :yay:

I thought about the WDW tickets since we're planning a trip there in 2014, but I don't think I can use them at DL without activating them at WDW first. Anyone know for sure? :confused3
