Discounts on Named or Presidential Suites

I read on the boards once that someone found the King Kamehameha Suite was included in the annual pass holder's room discount for summer once. I was wondering if the big suites often have discounts. They are not specifically mentioned as excluded in the Terms and Conditions of the the current discounts - only 3 bedroom villas.

Has anyone had success booking one of the major suites with a discount code, or better yet, applying a discount code to a reservation after the fact? I am interested in the Walt Disney Suite at the Grand Floridian in particular.

The challenge is they have to be available. You'll never get a discount on a named suite AFTER the fact. Once it's booked, supply goes to 0, so they don't discount.

I figured you couldn't book it first, but didn't know for sure. Thanks! Now the difficulty is deciding if I want to book it at rack rate or try my luck the day a discount code comes out.

If you really want that suite, I would book it and simply be glad you found that it was available. I find it very rare that the bigger, named suites at the deluxe resorts even have availability. I have occasionally found the 2-bedroom (non-named) suites at BC discounted.

We were offered the Annual Passholder discount on the VP suite at the WL.
