Discounts on meals @ WDW

I read a post where someone mentioned buying a card that gave them a discount on their meals @WDW. can anyone give me any info on this? We are going in July so the free dining will not apply. Thanks!

If you are staying at a Disney Resort you can also purchase a dining plan -- quick service only (2 counter service meals, 2 snacks per each night of stay, plus a refillable mug $29.99), basic dining (1 cs meal, 1 table service meal, 1 snack per each night of stay $39.99) and deluxe dining ( 3 meals a day, 2 snacks per night per each night of stay plus a refillable mug $69.99??not sure on this one). These plans can be a savings, depending on the make up of your party and your eating preferences.

I think waht the OP is referring to is "Tables in Wonderland". This is a discount card available to Annual Passholders. For an annual fee you can get 20% off meals (and I believe even alcoholic beverages), but you must have an annual pass to purchase it.

If you have an annual pass the TIW card can be a great deal. It will save you 20% at most table service restaurants (including alcoholic beverages). The card is good for one year from purchase I think - DH keeps better track of the food stuff than I do.

Some don't like that there is an automatic 18% gratuity when you use the TIW card but we normally tip more than that anyhow as long as the service is good so it doesn't bother us.

thanks for your replies. Unfortunately I do not have an annual pass so this doesn't work for me, but you can't blame a girl for trying!
