You crack me up! Disney must LOVE you! "Here she comes! Get out the cute stuff.... she can't resist any of it!" :rotfl:

P.S. There is always sale stuff at DL post-holiday. Given that the YOAMD is ending 12/31/08, seems right that it's on sale.

Yes, you are right! IF they have anything out that even remotely resembles Mickey fake food item merchandise, they may as well just hand it over to me because I will be sucked in!!! "Make way! I'm coming through!" I kind of think the Mickey snowman theme is cute but I am not as captivated by it where I have to buy up everything that has that theme. So as long as I don't see any new gingerbread Mickey knick-knacks this year, then I may be okay this year!

I am actually much better now about wildly spending than I was in the '90s;) :rolleyes1

yep that's the 1st set of them which are now near impossible to find

Is there a third set, or just those two? I see that some of the pieces from set 1 and set 2 are being sold separately. I assume you bought your set 2 as one complete set.

Yep, I love stuff like that - I love anything with the old Mouse of 1000 Faces pattern on it, I love any kinds of figures or sculptures with characters on rides (like the old Attraction Die Cast collection was up my alley too), and I love the Mickey-fake food items. I used to be a big Disney watch collector in the '90s, when the watches were really creative and unique, but that became too costly and the designs are not that great now! Watch collecting has fizzled.

So if you ever see anything that you think I would like, PM me and let me know, please!!

I am going to check out the Sale signs at DLR when I am there in a couple of weeks and see what I can dig up! 40% off is too good to pass up if it can be applied towards snowglobes or whatever.

ETA: If you do find those lollipop and pretzel magnets on eBay or someplace else, let me know. I can get the lollipop one for my friend to complete her set. You also might stumble upon whatever the fourth magnet was - waffle, cookie, bread or whatever!

Very true indeed!
In fact, when I went two years ago in... I wanna say January(?), my sister and I went to WoD and saw.... 50% OFF on all Select Holiday Merchandise! They had Santa hats with Goofy/Mickey ears that twinkled when u pressed a button, a Tigger Santa hat (I got one for, I think, 10 dollars? :scared1: ), and red mickey mouse gloves with faux white trimming/bells for a nice little price too (can't remember the exact number, but DS got 'em :)).

Hopefully history will repeat itself this year 'round too!

Ohh, I hope so!!! I'd love to get some cute Santa ear hats. :)

Let's see if I can post photos..I am currently working with a bad cell phone camera so forgive me for the bad quality and color of the pictures, but just to give you an idea of what these magnets look like (I think I must have gotten them at the Gag Factory 8 years ago, and they stopped selling them in 2001)...

Here are the Mickey ice cream bar magnet (notice it has a bite taken out of the top), the Mickey lollipop magnet and the Mickey chocolate covered pretzel with sprinkles on the top - you can't really see from these bad pictures that the sprinkles on the pretzel are colored, but they are!

And here are the gingerbread Mickey and Minnie magnets I got in December 2007, also at the Gag Factory, complete with their own cookie sheet!!!

OK, those are too cute!!!!! I don't think I've ever seen them, even in the Gag Factory!

Oh man, those are super cute!!!!!!! Stop the insanity! LOL

So that is my tip to everyone: buy stuff in the Gag Factory, because, more than likely, they have more in stock than what you see in the other shops!!!

SSSSHHHHH That's our secret, stop telling people! LOL I love the GF, they always have the cutest stuff!!

And look! There are even MORE of them:

Oh man.....I think I may have a problem.....LOL

Please.....come join the rest of us at Disneyland Merchandise Addicts Anonymous! We welcome all! And the darn problem is that many of these REALLY cute things are sold for a brief period of time -maybe a year or two at most - and then gone forever unless you are lucky enough to find them on eBay or the collectors' market. Like those gingerbread cookie magnets that I got last year (and also the cookie ornament in my avatar) were the 'thing' last year because that cookie theme was the theme on a lot of stuff sold for the holidays. But this year, DLR may have decided to release SOME of the gingerbread things and not all of them, so those magnets may be gone. I hate when they do that! I mean, of course, it probably means that there are other, new cute things but they may not be as cute as those!

I know - I should keep my mouth shut and not reveal the good secrets of where to find merchandise! I really do think that is a geography issue - the Emporium is right there when you come into the park, everyone goes in there, merchandise sells out. China Closet is not far away. Everything sells out. But that other store that I won't mention is waaaaaaaay out in the boondocks of DL and many people skip it for a couple of different reasons!

I would assume that this year, there would be some Small World stuff since they re-opened it, but I haven't heard of any.

I will be sure to let you know Sherry of any other mickey food finds! I have a cute minnie strawberry ice cream cone magnet too that I just love that came from toyko disneyland.

You know I don't think I have ever bought anything at the emporium at DL or WDW I always go to the other shops - of course shopping is my favorite thing to do at disney and yep the mail order department knows me when I call LOL

Is this new this year? I am hoping to pick this up next week when I am at DL

LOL I will join Sherry...for me my main addiction is pins with clothes a short second. LOL We will just have to help supply our addictions...LOL

Hey, I am not above a little enabling!:lmao: You know, I have gone a little nuts on pins in the past, but for some reason I was able to kind of rein it in and stop myself from going TOO nuts with them when I saw that the pins caught on like wildfire and there were new, cute ones coming out every second! That is what got me into trouble with watches back in the '90s - the designs were so cute and clever and they kept getting cuter every year, and I just kept buying them - ones sold only at DLR, ones sold to CM's only, ones in the Disney Store, whatever. Finally, I broke that expensive watch habit and then, gradually watches were kind of pushed aside for pins. Now, nobody collects watches like they did in the '90s, but pins are all the rage because they seem almost like an affordable splurge (oxymoron) and the designs of the pins are so cute and unique. And there are new ones all the time! So at first, years ago, I was beginning to go wild with the pins, getting pins from all the attractions or even the shops (they used to have Disney Gallery pins and Disneyana shop pins). But I had to stop that too, so now I seem to be able to keep that under control. I will see the pins and expect them all to be super cute, but I will limit what I get to just 1 or 2, maybe 3. Don't push me over the edge!!!:rotfl:

However...one thing I did NOT get last year at DLR during the holidays was the Mickey gingerbread cookie pin.... so if I see that this time around, I will try to get it...to, er, uh...complete my gingerbread cookie Mickey collection!;)

I don't think I saw it last year in my gingerbread Mickey quest. I won't be at DL for another couple of weeks. What is that exactly - a decoration of some kind just to hang on the wall? It's really cute!

It's a countdown to christmas wall hanging - you can't see it in the picture but the string has a candy cane on the end and each of the mickey icons is a pocket with a number for the days left

sherry - do you have the minnie gingerbread jibbitz for your crocs?

I don't. But I think I just saw a picture of it online today, and if I recall, it was REALLY cute. It almost tempted me, but fortunately, I don't have Crocs, so I don't have to get sucked into buying all the nifty accessories for them! Though they are quite cute...

Oh, but you don't need to have Crocs. Apparently they fit into some sort of bracelet too! Don't you want to have that cute little gingerbread minnie sitting right there on your wrist where you can admire it all day?

.....rolling, rolling, rolling......keep that snowball rolling! ;) :rotfl:

Evil woman!:lmao::lmao: Unless they put that cute Minnie on a magnet or keychain or cookie ornament, I can probably avoid it! Speaking of the Snowball, did you decide to use Photopass when you went to DLR with MIL? (It was the mother in law and not mom, right?)

You know you could easily stick a magnet on the back and there you go

has anybody been to the outlet in Fullerton lately? any good buys?
