We have been able to get a 50% discount on admission to Seaworld in the past for our DS who is disabled and for a carer.

Do Busch Gardens offer the same discount? I am also wondering whether a discount will be available for Aquatica. Since the parks are all owned by the same group, shouldn't the discounts be the same at each one.

Thanks for any info. I don't want to buy tickets in advance and then discover we could have got a 50% discount at the gate.

From what I understand, any discounts related to disability that are given at SW are only given at the entrance gate. This makes sense to me, otherwise anyone can claim they are disabled when ordering tickets- there's always fraud. It's just like needing to request a GAC in person once you're at the parks so that you can explain what's needed. I'm not sure about Busch Gardens, etc. but you could always call their customer service so you'll have a heads-up. From visiting Busch Gardens in a w/c there is plenty to do there that would justify a full price ticket but perhaps they extend a discount. We had a Fla season pass so never asked about a discount for myself since the cost of that ticket was nominal. ---Kathy

I agree with what Kathy said.

I know that SeaWorld's used to have a statement on their website that said the discount was given because many of their attractions could not be enjoyed by someone in a wheelchair. So the discount was based on not being able to experience the whole park. If the other parks are more accessible, they may not feel they need to give a discount.

Busch Gardens do offer the same discount but Discovery Cove don't...I'm guessing Aquatica won't unless you need a carer to assist with getting on rides and stuff then the carer might get in for free.

At Busch Gardens I could not really do anything because of my heart. I stood by while my kids did the kiddie rides and the older ones did the big rides. I felt totally left out. I was not disabled then though, just my heart. I was glad that our tickets were free through the military thing they have. I did enjoy watching them though, just felt left out.

That is why I enjoy WDW so much. I can do almost everything.

I have just had a reply from Busch Gardens to say they do offer the same discount. Hope this helps someone.

thanks for letting us know what you found out.
