I have FINALLY convinced my fiance to go back to WDW in May for a planning session :woohoo: :woohoo:

However as money is a little tight atm i need to get a good deal on room rates!

Does anyone know of any discounts in May? or anyone who offers a good deal?

Im planning on going 28th April for 10 nights as i can get good flight prices from London on those dates.

TIA :cloud9:

Do you have an AP? I would try that first...my second suggestion would be to stay in an All-star or an on property non disney until Sunday and then borrow DVC points for the remainder...

i dont have an AP, but i was planning on getting one. Does anyone know what discount you get?

I'm going in May for our annual Girl's Weekend (first one post-wedding, should be interesting as I'll be the only married one this year!) and I have an AP and am a FL resident but there are no specials for May, the FL resident special ends in April. They may announce more AP rates when it gets closer.

I booked Pop, which I've heard is good but I'm a little anxious as I've never stayed in a value resort. My sister stayed there for the wedding and said it was nice so we're going to give it a try. We got the preferred location for about $120/night with tax.

Back when DH and I were dating we were supposed to stay at Pop for a couple nights but he upgraded us to Caribbean Beach, so that has become my favorite moderate resort  The moderates in May were about $170/night with tax.

Of course I love WL but that was way out of us girl's price range at about $255/night.

For us girls I'm not too concerned as we just need a bed to crash on after 2 nights at Boardwalk and PI

I'm not sure how it works since I've only had my AP since the wedding in September, but I used it this past month and my understanding of the special is that you book the room with your AP and if a better rate comes along, you get the better rate! I booked my room for $140 and when I checked in (a few days later) I paid $109...very strange but an awesome deal either way for AKL!!!

Cool, I'll be up in May as well for our honeymoon :goodvibes We actually got hooked up, we'll be staying at the Disney Hilton for $86 a night in a Jr. Suite!!! :cool1: I'm stoked!!
