Between DVC Membership, Annual Passes and a Disney VISA card does anyone have any easy way to keep the different discounts straight? And which way do you get the better or best discounts? For Example-I know on park tours DVC is 15%, AP is 15% and Disney VISA is 20% off. Does anyone have any easy method for keeping it all straight? TIA!

DIsney Visa gets you a cheaper deal on WDW purchases?

What else do you get a discout on?

Disney VISA is only the 10% off purchases and the 20% off tours, but I know both DVC and AP offer a bunch of discounts and some are the same as each other and the VISA ones. I was just wondering if anyone had any kind of chart or cheat sheet showing what discounts you received with DVC, AP, and Disney VISA.

:surfweb: This is a great question- I hope someone has an answer!

After returning yesterday and looking more closely at the little book of perks given to us at check-in, we missed out on a few DVC discounts. I'm mad at myself for not knowing until now! We had the DDE card but it was not accepted at Yak and Yeti, so we got no discount, little did I know, I could have gotten a 10% DVC discount. It wouldn't have been such an issue if it were just the two of us, but we had 5 adults, and one infant. Luckily the DDE card payed for itself at-least 2 times over.

...and don't forget the AAA discounts. We are taking our big group (6 adults, 5 kids) to Ariel's Grotto breakfast (DLR) in May, and I believe both cards offer the same 10%. However, the DVC perk states it only covers up to 8 (since 2 of our party are infants our group for the bill totals 9) but I don't know if there's a limit on the AAA discount..I'll probabaly just give the server both and ask for the best deal..if they even know

I printed the PDF and will take it with me. i also ask whenever I check out at a store or eat at a restaurant if they have DVC or AP discounts because honestly i can't keep the straight either. There are some good discounts out there, Fantasia Gardens has a 50% discount for AP holders....or was that a DVC discount...

I pull out my AP and DVC card and ask what the best discount is. CMs are always very nice about giving us the best % off.

I can never actually keep them all straight. I usually forget to ask about at least one when I'm making reservations or buying something on site. I've actually made up a laminated credit card list that I'm going to keep with my room key next year, to remind me to ask whenever I check out. It says...

Is there a discount available for:
- DVC Members
- Annual Pass Holders
- DDE
- Disney Visa
- AAA
- Busch Platnum Pass

I ask sometimes and sometimes I forget too...I would love to have a list, great idea! Maybe I'll even put one together. If I do I'll be sure to post it.

I actually started to make an Excel chart a couple of weeks ago, but even setting up the layout gave me a headache. Then I was going to ask here if a chart existed, but I was afraid everyone else would say they already knew and didn't need a chart.

Usually, I find myself holding up a bunch of cards...AAA, DVC, Disney Visa, DDE, AP...and asking which one do they take and which has the best discount. But I'd really like to know for myself on the "off chance" ;) a CM isn't sure either.

Will check out that link...thanks. And if I do find myself with a lot of time on my hands to make a chart, I'll post here. One of the frustrating things is how much benefits change from year to year and card to card. Didn't the DVC card give 30% off Fulton's for lunch last year? (My mouth instantly waters just thinking of those King Crab claws.

) But I think it's 20% now. :confused3

I just checked Deb's chart...very nice! But it IS 2007, not 2008, and the one thing I did see is that the Fulton's discount at lunch was 30% in 2007, and on the DVC website it shows 20% for 2008, as I had thought. Bummer. (I'm still getting those Crab claws next month! :thumbsup2 ) But that chart is a great start. I'm going to go through it and make the necessary changes before our trip next month, and add any additional columns.

Mare...thanks for pointing that out. I didn't notice.

I have also done the "pick a card, any card" trick with the CM's and find that most of them are fairly uneducated about discounts. I think there are so many that they count on the buyer having a good idea of the discounts.

It certainly can be quite confusing...but much better than no perks!! ::yes::

Do we get any discounts on the specialty cruises...Wishes Cruise or the Illuninations cruise?

No discounts on specialty cruises. I've gotten a 10% discount with only my AP at World of Disney.

Boy I feel a lot better now that so many other are looking for the same thing as me. When I first asked there wasn't much response and I was starting to think that it was just me. I've also thought of trying to put some kind of excel sheet together myself. If I try and succeed I will share.

How do we find out about AAA discounts? I see on the DIS that there are AAA discounts for tours, but it doesn't say how much, nor if there are AAA discounts elsewhere in WDW. I found on the Passporter discussion boards someone mentions getting a AAA discount at Earl of Sandwich. :confused3

I'm trying to make a chart. It's getting crazy.

Good question about the specialty cruise...I didn't even think to ask about that...bummed that the answer is no though. :(

AP at WoD...thanks! :thumbsup2

Anyone know if we get anything on the Bib. Bop. Botique?

Golf - I think the best discount going on that is buying the $50 dvc card...yes?
