Discounts for twins

I have 2 sets of twins that will be 8 and 12 and a singleton that will be 14. We are planning a trip to Disney on April 7, 2004. Does anyone know of any discounts available for multiples?

I've nver heard of any discount either.
I've seen a lot of posts by parents of multiples, so I think if there was a dsicount, someone would have posted something about it.
If you go to the officail Disney site at www.disney.com , they do have an email address for questions that you could try. You could also try a search on that site.

We've got identical dd's who are 9 and I've never gotten a discount at Disney.

One time, before fastpass, we were in line for Buzz Lightyear and when we got to the entrance to the inside ques, the CM told us it was "twins" day and go to the front of the line. We thought at first he was jolking, but he wasn't. Since we didn't have to wait, we got back in line and he did it again! Thought we better go after that, before someone got angry!

We have identical twin girls who are two. They have been twice to Disney - noone ever mentioned any discounts - last year we went with friends who had two sets of twins and we mentioned the fact that we had three sets of twins in our party to several CM and noone said anything. It would be nice - if you find out, please pass it along!

Why on earth would there be discounts for twins or other multiples? Why are they any different than any of your other kids?

The logic here just doesn't make sense from a business perspective.

There actually are retailers who do give discounts for having twins. Both Osh Gosh and Stride Rite give me a 10% discount. I also got a 10% discount on their cribs before they were born.

That's the point Crisi WDW already discounts childrens passes. Why would they discount further for twins?

different companies give discounts for all kinds of things. It was a fine question to ask. Why do companies give senior citizen discounts? ignore the grumblers crazylady...you'll figure out who they are around here rather quickly...

There are lots of places that give discounts for twins and more. I don't know about WDW because we haven't been yet, but I do remember reading an article in Twins Magazine about a single mom taking her twins on vacation and she got a twins discount on her airfare!! I wish I could go look up the article but I gave my old mags. away to a new twin mom a while back. I just remember her mentioning that if the first ticket agent didn't offer a discount or know anything about it to keep calling back. I haven't tried it, but do get discounts other places.

OshKosh gives 10% off for twins, Burlington Coat Factory's Baby Depot gives 20% off second identical item for 2 babies, 30% off 3rd item for 3 babies and so on. They do this to help parents of multiples get started. It is so expensive buying two cribs, 2 carseats, 2 high chairs, etc.

I don't expect a discount everywhere I go, but it is nice when I can save a few dollars!!

I can understand giving discounts for cribs, carseat, high chairs...
but airline tickets or park passes? Why?

Wow I WISH they did! Even though my son and step son aren't twins I have people ask all the time if they are.They're 5 mths apart,both blonde and blue eyed.

Once when we were at WDW a woman asked Joe if Erich and Jonathan were twins.He said "Yeah sure,twin brothers of different mothers!" Ya shoulda seen the look on that woman's face!!!

Welcome to the boards Crazyladyof5! I have a dear friend with 2 sets of twins, as well. ( Funny how that happens with some ladies!) Nothing wrong with asking about a discount. Shucks--some folks get discounts for belonging to AAA or being in the military. It never hurts to ask. Nothing ventured--nothing gained! Good luck to you finding some bargains in other creative ways if the twins thing doesn't pan out. Be sure and check over on the budget board and keep an eye on Mousesavers.com.

God bless you. But as I see it you are already blessed. Thanks for the positive reply. To everyone else who reponded, I am aware of all the other discounts around about twins. Thanks to you too. I am presently the president of my local twins club and active in the state club, so I try to get any information that I can about twins. I've been checking out mousesavers.com too.
