discounts for police officers

I know that Disney has discounts for military personal but

my son and his family are going to Disney in Feb and he is a police officer

I was wondering if Disney has discounts for them as well

any little helps when planning a trip to Disney

No, Disney doesn't discount for cops, teachers, nurses, etc.. Maybe the Swan/Dolphin offers discounted rooms for cops, I know they do for nurses (not available every day of the year).

His best bet is to look for discounts available to everyone like UT tickets, etc..

Some (many?) Police Departments consider accepting discounts or gifts unethical. It can be grounds for termination, so a lot of companies stopped offering law enforcement discounts.

Don't quote me, but have him check out room discounts at the Swan and Dolphin. They used to offer a "government" discount which included state, local or federal employees including police and firefighters. He will have to book way in advance since there are limited rooms for this.

My husband is a sheriffs deputy and we looked into this a few years ago. We didn't find any discounts for LEO.

This is not a Disney specific discount, but you can get Space A condos for $349 for a week as a gov't. employee (be it federal, state, city or local) through http://www.getravelop.com. If you can stay off-property, this would be a huge savings.
