discounts for jan. '05...when are they available??

We are taking our yearly trip from the 2nd to the 9th of Jan. 05 and are hoping to do better than $77 for PC. Has anyone ever gotten a better rate for that time of year??

I am going to be at WDW During your stay. We will be there the 4th - 9th of Jan 05. The kids have talked me into spending my last 2 nights at Universal (first time there). I wait to schedule my Disney room until AP rates come out in Dec and hope for a post card or email. I got one Last Year. I got a AAA discount on my Univeral room and booked it. So you might check AAA to see if they have any discounts available.

We usually stay at the Polynesian (5 out of 6 trips, POR fka Dixie Landings the other) and book our room as soon as we decide to go. Then, when discount rates come out, call again to apply rates. We get annual passes, so usually get AP rate, which comes out sometime around early December. AP rates have been about 40% discount off regular rates. We've received rates of between $179 and $199 for Poly, give or take. I'm sure the rates will be up in 2005, but AP discounts are still a great deal!
