Discounts for global visitors - specifically Japan

My brother is coming from Japan (where he lives and works) to WDW this summer. I'm pricing it out for him and he told me the Disney site is quoting him lower prices for the resort than it is quoting me here in the states (but same for the ticket prices). So I'm stumped as to why it is doing this (there is no discount available right now for our dates of 7/21 - 7/26 so it isn't that) and told him if it is cheaper to book it from Japan, to do so.

But that brings me to another question - I know Disney offers discounts to UK visitors, does it do the same for other country's? If so, how can my brother book these?

I told him to call a TA in Japan to ask as well but thought I'd see if any of the DIS'ers knew! Thanks!

I'm just curious, why does Disney offer a better deal to UK visitors in particular????

I can only venture a guess as to why they offer the discounts to UK visitors (to get them to go to WDW even though it is a long and pricey flight maybe??) but if they offer it to UK visitors, I just wondered if they offered it to other countries as well. Anyone know about Japan? Thanks!

Definitely not Singapore where I come from. I tried to check if I could book fm the UK site and was told to book from the US site.
