Discounts during "regular" season?

Hi all,
Does anyone have experience with discounts in recent years for a trip in mid-May?

We have been completely spoiled by free dining in September trips, PIN codes for room discounts for October trips, but we REALLY want to take our younger daughter to Disney for her May birthday.

Suffice it to say, we will go even without a discount, but it might affect where we stay and/or how long we stay.

Anybody know of discounts offered for May that might help us out?
