Discounts at Christmas

I think I already know the answer, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Is there such a thing as paying less than rack rates during Chirstmas?

Here in Florida we have Florida Residents speacials with discounted room rates, the current rates are from 11/02-12/26/003. Usually the AP rates are the same time periods but not sure sense I don't have AP. I do have a pass but it has block-out dates from 12/20/03-01/03/04 so I could technically get a room but I could'n't go to the Parks with out purchasing additional tickets.

Last year there was a room only discount that expired on 12/20 (I think). However, under Disney rules, the rate you get for the first day of your stay is the rate that applies during the whole stay. In other words, if you checked in on 12/20 at the discounted rate, that same rate applied to the entire stay--all thw eay through Xmas and beyond.

No way to know if therre will be a room only discount this year but keep an eye out for them or for a good package deal.

we are staying at th contemporary tower club level
december 24 thru dec 30 with a ap rate of 299.00 a night
including tax.

This is my first trip at Christmas time and I DO NOT go without a discount! So instead of waiting on possible AP discounts I choose the Dolphin. I got the teacher/nurse/military discount of 129.00/night +tax. Crossing my fingers for a 'magical experience'!!! Hope you get this rate though an association with anyone in the discount catagory ~GOOD LUCK!!!!~

We booked the CBR for Dec. 19-22 for $88.09 tax included with the AP discount. We also booked GF garden view for the 23-27 for $221.89 tax included with the AP discount. We just booked another room at the CBR a couple of days ago for some friends of ours and we were still able to get the AP rate so there are some still available.

Last week I booked 4 nights at AKL savannah view for $166 a night with AP rate and 4 nights at BC standard view for $194 a night. Those rates include tax. I am very happy since the rates from the disney site for the same rooms and dates was $1072 more
