Discounts around holidays?

I am looking at booking a trip for the end of March 2013, the week leading up to Easter. My extended family is pretty set on just holding off, that some type of discount will come out, whether free dining or room discounts. I just don't see it as a possibility. I hate to say I know there won't be a discount but, realistically, what are the chances and which of the 2 would I most likely see? Is there a chance there would be a general public discount this close to a holiday in a peak season or would some type of AP discount be my only hope?

I would be more than shocked if there were discounts the week before Easter. That time frame is only second to Christmas in terms of crowds and resort bookings.

I just looked at Mousesavers historical info for 2012 and the discounts ended 3/31 and didn't resume until 4/14, the week after Easter. AP discounts were offered spanning the entire spring into summer, but I'm guessing those same weeks or at least parts of them would have been blackout dates.
